Guest guest Posted March 9, 2009 Report Share Posted March 9, 2009 Years ago I worked in a facility where scabies was a constant problem. I had then 5 times. After doing the usual the first few times ( quell, pryoderm) I found an old rememdy that works even better than the pharma poisons, Garden stores sell sublimed Sulphur cheap. A half teaspoon or so mixed in with an oil ( folks used to use kerosene, but thats dangerous, so use a non flamable oil) rubbed into the skin and left for about an hour, then washed off. Do this in the bathtub. I have seen this remedy work when the doctor ordered stuff didnt. Another remedy I found was sulpur soap. Its also cheap and comes in bars. As for prevention, thats easy.
