Guest guest
I would agree that for severe chronic pain, narcotics are pretty much needed along with alternative methods. For many years I suffered with severe endometriosis pain. It came on in seconds, lasted for 20 min. periods, numerous times a day for 5 days in a row before my period, every month. I had to use narcotics. I did go to someone eventually who me taught me self hypnosis, which did work to take the edge off. Maybe you have already done that. Maybe someone does know of something more effective. If so, let us know. , " seashelll30 " <seashelll30 wrote: > > As someone that has real chronic pain, biobeedback, accupuncture, massage, accupressure, chiropractic care, etc. I have tried them all,and they help take some of the edge off, but these are not a substitute for Narcotic pain relief. They don't even come close. I wish they would help as effectively, but they just don't. If someone could tell some natural meds that handle heavy pain, please share! > Thanks, > Gina in IL. >
Guest guest
DL-Phenylalanine has been found to work in conjunction with the body's natural ability to relieve pain. It helps to lengthen the lifespan of the chemicals in the brain that ease pain. It is especially effective in relieving pain from arthritis and aching muscles. Some chronic pain can be treated with DL-phenylalanine through the stimulation of nerve pathways in the brain that control pain. Enhanced pain relief has been discovered when D-phenylalanine is used in conjunction with prescribed pain killers. This manufactured form of phenylalanine is used to block an enzyme in the nervous system that increases pain signals. The interruption of pain signals allows the healing mechanisms of the body to begin working faster. DL-Phenylalanine is a chemical combination of half L-phenylalanine and half D-phenylalanine. L-Phenylalanine is the natural form of phenylalanine found in proteins all over the body. It is found in foods like beef, poultry, pork, fish, eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese, nuts, seeds and certain soy products. D-Phenylalanine is a synthesized form of the chemical, which means it is produced in a laboratory.
