Guest guest
Hello and thank you for allowing me here. A little health history. I am a 52 year old woman who in the last 8 years has had 3 major abdominal surgeries resulting in 90% of my large colon being removed. Eight years ago I was diagnosed with Poly Inflammatory Arthritis as well as Fibromyalgia. I also suffer from depression which I contribute to what I have been through the last 8 years. I could not return to work after my third surgery. At the time I saw it as a huge loss as I took 30 years to build a very successful career, had to sell my goat dairy herd and am very limited in how I can participate with the building of our farm. These were severe losses for me. My daily life has become topsy turvy.I am now taking several different narcotics to deal with the continual pain that I am in. Before all of this started I hated even taking aspirin. Since Nov of 2009 I have had 3 blood transfusions and an iron infusion. My specialists are working together to try and find out why I am bleeding and am so severely iron deficient. I am scheduled for a Colonoscopy in two weeks. Sometimes, I feel like throwing in the towel it all seems so overwhelming... I have recently started seeing a Naturopath and an Energy Healer. I have purchased a juicer and am also making protein shakes daily. I have to be so careful with levels of fluids I take in because the transit time is so quick it basically causes me to be housebound. One of the things I started a month ago that has seemed to help me emotionally and mentally is a gratitude journal. When I focus, I do have so very much to be thankful for. I look forward to growing and learning from all of the people here who share. My main goal is to learn ways to maintain my iron levels, eat in a manner that will give me a longer transit time and create an environment that is much more positive for myself and my husband. Thank you Cindy
