Guest guest
As one of my New Years resolutions, I've taken up running again. I swim and bike regularly but running is something I haven't done for over 20 years. I've 6 feet four inches tall and weigh right at 200 lbs so weight should not be the obvious answer to my problem. I purchased new New Balance cross trainers and I run on a treadmill. The result is inflammation in my left heel. I'd prefer not to consume too many Aleve tablets so what course of action would others recommend to overcome this inflammation? BTW I've stopped the running program and my right shin and hips sometimes ache now after long walks. Chris
Guest guest
Long distance running is the worst thing I ever did to my body. You could get acupuncture for the pain. It's very effective. You could also try DMSO on the area to counter inflammation. Just don't walk around anywhere where there are pesticides or toxins, as DMSO is a carrier. You could add essential oils to the DMSO too. Maybe mix in a little Yan Hu Suo, which is a great Chinese herb for pain. You can probably get it in powdered form. If you use DMSO, use it with aloe, as it can itch the next day. I think biking and swimming are much lower impact on your joints. Here are some frequencies: http://www.electroherbalism.com/Bioelectronics/FrequenciesandAnecdotes/C AFL.htm Inflammation_general (also see Infection general sets) - 1.5, 3.6, 2720 , " metrology_guy " <metrology_guy wrote: > > As one of my New Years resolutions, I've taken up running again.
