Guest guest
May i suggest Valerian - an herb - google it... 2 capsules / tea / or tincture...tho, for me the capsules always worked well...and that bypasses the concerns w/ melatonin... perhaps intentionally 'quiet yourself' in preparation for sleep...nothing stimulating...(like an emotionally charged TV show) - a nice book... and slowly drift off...some chamomile tea too may help... I hear a pillow of hops can be helpful too... Best wishes... --- On Mon, 2/2/09, mia2amazeu <miaharrod wrote: mia2amazeu <miaharrod << >> Re: Melatonin and Autoimmune Disease? Monday, February 2, 2009, 1:48 PM I would not take 20mg a night though, you would do much better on less melatonin, less is more, about maybe .3 to 1 mg per night at the most. Guest guest
Acupuncture is very successful treating Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. My girlfriend has that. For her, the root of it is working too much. She is a corporate defense lawyer and works about 16 hours per day. This depletes spleen qi. Diet can be a factor as well. How long have you had Hashimoto's? The longer you have it, the more difficult it can be to treat, as complications may arise, such as liver qi stagnation and whatnot. Sounds like you've got some heat rising up into your heart effecting your shen. A good acupuncturist can do alot for you. Especially one who also does herbs. > I have hashimoto's thryoid disease am 46 having alot of trouble sleeping and just started > with natural progesterone.
