Fibromyalgia is simply undiagnosed hypothyroidism.

Correction... the site says hypothyroidism OR thyroid hormone resistance.  In

either case, he is correct (as have been thousands of Dr's before him) that a

lifestyle change is needed to correct Fibro.

Wow, I never thought I would see those words in print. I agree that

fibromyalgia is undiagnosed thyroid disease, but in my experience it is also

mistreated hypothyroidism.

MT: I've never heard, that but one of my professors says he has been

able to treat fibromyalgia quite successfully. He uses mild, low

impact exercise, such as Tai Chi, TENS therapy with massage,

elimination of coffee, tobacco and alcohol, Chlorella 10g daily,

Calcium 1500g daily, magnesium, 600-750 mg daily, acidopholus,

lecithin, antioxidants: vit a 400-1600 IU/day, vit c 500 mg twice a

day, selenium, coenzyme Q10 75 mg per day.

Sleep promoting agents:

St. John's Wort, 300mg three times daily or as a tea,

Kava 100mg three times daily or as a tea,

Valerian, 400-900mg before bed

German Chamomile 2-8g three times a day or as a tea

Anti-Inflammatories:

Tumeric .5-1g 2-3 times per day

Ginger as a tea up to four cups per day

For energy, Ginseng. He recommends " gota kola " 1-3 cups per day.

Meditation is good. He highly recommends biofeedback and hypnosis.

Yoga and QiGong are very good, and he especially recommends Tai Chi.

Acupuncture has been beneficial in 60% of studies.
