As a 65 year old diabetic on insulin, I try to avoid dairy products.

Question: Do the benefit of eating yogurt daily out weigh the negative

effects of dairy products?

(I eat a Activia light daily and drink Dan Active once a week.)

Hi, I think Activia light has spenda in it, which is not good. I

haven't checked the label lately, so it may have changed.

I don't usually respond to this forum, but I will say something about

dairy. I cured my newly formed cataract 4 years ago after I started

drinking raw milk. It took about 6 weeks for the right eye cataract

to go away. I have been drinking raw milk ever since and my eye sight

is better than it has been in 50 years. It is not the milk that is

the problem, but the pasteurize, homogenized milk that is the

problem. This processing of the milk makes it useless to anybody.

Kids don't have allergies to raw milk and it is a highly nutritious

food. It is considered a perfect food. Pasteurized, homogenized milk

is actually toxic to the body. it is like night and day between raw

and processed milk. Either drink raw milk or none at all to be healthy.

Are you familiar with the SCD diet protocol?

Breaking The Vicious Cycle Main Page

All the content you'll find related to the diet here is 100% strictly

SCD. " For those of you struggling with whether or not to make the

commitment to the diet, I urge you to read my story because the diet

worked for me and ultimately saved my life... but it only worked for

me because I followed it strictly, and this is the only way it will

work for you " . Sections - Introduction; Getting Started; FAQ's;

Associated Conditions; Links; My Story.

Healing Crow SCD Protocol

Today, the SCD is being used successfully by many to treat the

following: Autism, Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Celiac

disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Chronic Diarrhea, Candidiasis, and

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). " The medical literature is rich with

reports relating the favorable effects of dietary changes on the

course of intestinal disease. "

FAQs

There are many questions that circulate on the SCD listserves. The

purpose of this section is to organize the most frequently asked

questions and their answers. If you can't find what you are looking

for here, join one of the online support groups or visit one of the

other SCD web sites.

It is used to heal all digestive disorders and yet one of the

foods that you must eat every single day if plain yogurt made the SCD

way. It is an essential part of the treatment. And I KNOW this

treatment works! It also makes your immune system a lot stronger and

more effective as about 80% of your immune system is in your gut.

SCD YOGURT

This yogurt is fermented for 24 hours instead of the 4 to8 usually

suggested in most yogurt makers. This causes the milk sugar to be

taken out by the fermenting process, making this yogurt good for your

digestion system and even more beneficial. SCD yogurt is also an

important part of the SCDiet, because the live culture in the yogurt

repopulates the gut with 'good' bacteria, thereby bringing the

overgrowth of harmful bacteria under control.

Discussion about making the SCD Yogurt

If you have questions about how to make this yogurt and what to use,

etc.... These people discuss the various whys and whens and hows and

whats.

The onty other milk product they use though is Dry Curd Cottage

Cheese. The yogurt has to be homemade but the cottage cheese can be

bought if it is organic.

As for being a diabetic , organic eggs are are good source of

protein. There is a also a connection between diabetes and

candida/fungus. Do you realize this?
