Guest guest
Thank you all again for your suggestions and support. I went to the doctor and she ordered a SED rate, Comp panel for liver, kidneys, and glucose, Vit b-12, Vit D, and TSH. The SED rate, liver, kidney and Vit b12 were in the " normal " range. (I think the b12 is still on the low side though) I have the actual numbers but didn't want to bore you all. The Vit D was low and she wants me to supplement 2,000 IU daily. TSH showed I had an underactive thyroid. I guess the normal range from my doctors office is .48 to 5.9...though I've read on the internet that a few years ago they changed the normal range down to 3.0 and that a lot of doctors are having a hard time going to the new range. Anyway, mine was 8.25!! They started me on Synthroid and I know I've only had a few days on it but I'm starting to feel a little less worn down. Guess time will tell for sure. Could be I want it to be since I've felt so yucky for so long. My glucose was 124, guess normal range is between 70-99 so they want me to come back in 6 weeks for a fasting glucose test along with testing my thyroid to see if medicine needs to be adjusted. I know this isn't " natural " methods but at least I've gotten some answers and can research where to go from here. Thank you all again. Guest guest
well - as you say at least you have some answers and a place to start from. Sometimes half the battle is getting to a point where you don't feel so awful all the time so you can pursue more natural methods.
