Idea's/ Help for Chronic Sinus Infections?

2-4oz. a day of Colloidal Silver (www.utopiasilver.com mixed w/4 drops of Oil of

Oregano.  3T. of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar w/meals three times a day.  Sinusin

Nasal Spray from LuckyVitamin.com also helps.

Stay away from dairy products ...they will cause the sinuses to worsen.

Hi. I don't post often & havn't been reading much as I havn't even had

the energy to go online lately, & am desperate to feel better. Was

wondering if anyone had any advice on things I could try for Chronic

Sinus infections? I am on my second course of antibiotics right now for

a sinus infection that won't go away & am taking a decongestant & lots

of vitamins & airborne & extra zinc for immune system, but nothing is

helping. I can feel the infection getting worse each day(it is mostly

severe congestion & severe fatigue along with sinus pain & pressure) &

now I think it is trying to spread into my throat & chest & don't want

to have to go back to the doctor right now, as they will just put me on

another type of antibiotic & more junk that doesn't seem to help. Last

winter I had a super bad sinus infection that got so bad it went into

bronchitis & pnumonia & I had to go thru 7 courses of antibiotics to

get better! Don't want that to happen this year. Anyway, was wondering

if anyone had an idea's on natural things or home remedies I could try.

I was in the hospital from a sinus infection that had spread.  They were giving

me the wrong antibiotics.  It was a bacterial sinus infection and gave me an

antibiotic that was not compatible with the bacteria.  Just make sure you get a

blood test to see if its viral or bacterial and then see what kind of

bacteria.   The infection spread throughout my body too.  I know how miserable

you are!!!  The only thing that helped me was finally getting the right

antiobiotic IV!!   Hopefully you won't have to get that far!  Also the neti pot

will help clean out the sinus.    Take care and let us know how you are.

I am constantly fighting allergies and snot.  The absolutely BEST relief I have

found is using a neti pot twice a day (upon rising and before retiring).  It

takes a week or so to get used to it, but the relief from symptoms is so worth

it!

I forgot to mention environmental helps too!  I also use an air purifier and

humidifier, especially during our long winter heating season! 

 

I have also had a doctor reccomend putting some triple-antibiotic ointment on

the cotton swab and depositing it as far up your nose as possible and letting it

" melt " down the back of your throat.  I was much too grossed out by that feeling

to do it more than once.  Other people I know swear by it though.
