LAST CHANCE TO ENSURE STRONG PESTICIDE BAN

Dear Friend,

We need your help right away!

Ontario has just released regulations for its new pesticide ban. The

regulations are very health-protective but unfortunately the chemical industry

is

lobbying hard to weaken them. We need your help to keep them strong.

Could you take two minutes right now to tell Ontario that you strongly

support the new pesticide regulations?

Please click on this Ontario government website and make the following

comment in the comment box:

1. I strongly support the pesticide regulations and hope they will come into

effect by Spring, 2009.

2. The regulations will help Ontario industry become innovators in non-toxic

lawn care, creating economic growth and green jobs.

3. I hope the government will also require golf courses to reduce pesticide

use.

Thank you so much!

All the best,

My comment was: Banning the use of Pesticides is vital to the health of the

population as well as the environmental ecology. Industry must not be

allowed to hijack the Government. The Government must SERVE THE PEOPLE.

Banning

a destructive practice, presents the opportunity to develop productive

practices. Additional benefits include reallocating resources from abusers to

researchers. Banning pesticide use for Golf courses should encourage them to

redesign according to the wildly beautiful & exciting origins of the game

rather

than fanatically artificial & destructive practices presently in vogue. The

government must understand that their first duty is to the safety &

protection of the public & their habitat, not to the bullying of big industry

whose

only objective is profit at ANY cost. Ignorance is no excuse; politicians must

not jeopardise their nation's future for their present, personal gain
