I have a lot indications that my thyroid is not working correctly.

I have been to the Doctor's and had blood work done and came back saying

everything was fine and acceptable.

I continue to experience these symptoms and am just not feeling well and a

little concerned.

I am experiencing extreme tiredness, am cold all the time, (very cold),

thinning hair, trouble swallowing, ridges in my finger nails, weight gain,

constipation, hoarse voice, migraine to name a few.

How can one ignore these type of symptoms and feel the way they do because

the tests come back negative?

What can I do to help myself feel better?

Have you been to see a natural medicine provider? Either a MD trained in

natural medicine or a DO or ND is better than who you are seeing now, It is

clear that your provider is an idiot.

You can have sub-clinical hypothyroidism.

Most allopathic providers don't really understand hypothyroidism.

I was in your shoes and I finally had to treat myself until I found a MD who

is trained in natural medicine. I take Armour thyroid and this med saved my

life.

I don't have an answer for you and am interested in hearing what others have

to say. I have been having difficulties with my thyroid since having a

goiter removed at 18 years of age and again at 40 years of age. I am now 55.

During all this time I have never had abnormal results to any of my so called

lab tests.

I have all the symptoms you listed plus dry skin, lethargy, depression, and

most recently mental fogginess.

I take the synthetic form of the thyroid hormone, synthroid, with no relief.

Looking for alternate forms of treatment to supplement or replace my present

treatment.

Incidentally, I now have another goiter and 'cold spot' and am refusing to

have it removed. I take full responsibility for whatever may occur as a result

of my decision. With each surgery the symptoms get worse and enough is

enough.

Integrity is not a 90% thing

Not a 95% thing

Either you have it

Or you don't

I was experiencing many of those same symptoms and my doctor ruled out a thyroid

issue as well.  Then my OB/GYN screened me for PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian

syndrom).  He determined through sonograms and blood tests that PCOS was the

issue and has started me on a treatment plan that includes a change in

diet, regular sleep and exercise.  He is also treating me for yeast.  When

I follow the treatment plan, I feel good, or even great.  If I let the plan

slide, I immediately start to feel unwell again.

Can you find a good naturopath in your area to look at your lab results and do

new ones if necessary?

i would suggest being screened for esophogeal cancers or oral cancers if thyroid

tests show all if okay (and those tests are oretty accurate)  your hoarseness

and trouble swallowing along with not feeling well and tired give me great

concern ... please see a doctor and have appropriate testing done )endoscopy( to

see what is up
