When my son has BM issues, we amp up the water intake to 16 or more glasses a day, make him exercise and give him a magnesium-calcium ionic fix before bed every night. Usually, within 24-36 hours, his bowels are moving again. You might also try a colemic or theraputic massage. I have not tried a colemic, however I know people that swear by them. Theraputic massage does work well, in my experience. enji <enjisweet > Alternative- Medicine- Forum@ s.com Sunday, October 19, 2008 4:42:36 PM << Alternative- Medicine- Forum >> Help severe constipation! !! Guest guest
As a massage therapist, I was taught a trick in school for sciatica and it has never failed. Just to be clear, sciatica is when pain runs down the back of your leg. You will need a friend for this. Lay face down, tell your friend which leg is suffering the pain, have your friend make a big " X " on that butt cheek with their finger- one line from the top spine part of the cheek down diagonially to the outer leg, then the other line from the top outside of the leg down diagonially moving towards the spine- where they cross- press with sustained pressure- lightening up if necessary because most likely it will be painful. Guest guest
Once you have it, a good Chiropractor is a great help. My Dr. also used shock treatment and acupuncture in her treatment. Also, there are exercises that you can do to help prevent it. Since I got it regularly for several years and no longer get it after using joint supplements, especially MSM in quantity, I have to believe that these will prevent it in time. I have had no attacks in nearly ten years.
Guest guest
I'm 81 and I have a damaged knee from forty years ago that a dumb doctor said " Oh we'll give you a knee replacement, my answer was " No thank you, it doesn't hurt now why should I risk it? " . True I have no pain only stiffness as I am too sedentary (computer?) and old age. But I have given up all white starch, bread, pasta and potatoes. I buy only whole wheat and all the crunchy extras I can gety it, what have you got to lose? Irene
Guest guest
Yes. I use a magnesium chloride gel after showers... could be why I never get sciatica anymore. Going on a low oxalate diet helped some, but rubbing the area with a saturated solution of Nigari (Magnesium Chloride) nightly before bed worked wonders! Guest guest
/Check out www.magnesiumforlife.com. It explains the effects of magnesium useage. It definitely works for me. I have trapped nerves in spine, plus many old injuries from accidents plus sciatic problems. Maggie /
