Guest guest
Greetings! I am a newcomer and would like to say hello to everyone. It is good to be here. I have been studying natural medicine for over 20 years and practicing homeopathy most of my life. Now here is my present issue. Because I have gained 40 lbs in the past 3 years or so and having been through menopause I thought that I was suffering from hypothyroidism. Consulting with an endocrinologist and doing all sorts of tests, I was surprised to hear that instead of being hypo, I was indeed suffering from a low level of hyperthyroid. She recently put me on Tapazole, which I agreed to take for 2 months because something must be done. The fact that hyperthyroid people lose weight and I have gained doesn't make any sense to me and I am concerned that I might gain even more weight with the Tapazole. The other symptoms I have seem to be right on the target for hyperthyroid, though. Could anyone shed a light on this and give me some feedback? I appreciate your help.
