Guest guest
Armour thyroid contains calcatonin which is calcium as well as T1, T2, T3 and of course T4. Armour does not cause osteoporosis as does Synthroid. Why did you quit taking Armour? I would insist on going back on it if you didn't have problems with it. Sherry >>> " cmrbookkeeping " <cmrbookkeeping 09/28/2008 2:50 PM >>> I have osteopenia but it has progressed to one stage below osteoporosis. I have been taking synthroid for 5 years. Before that I took Armour Thyroid. My doctor talked me into switching. I also take Celebrex daily for multiple problems (back, neck and shoulder). I have recently heard that synthroid and anti inflammatory drugs both contribute to osteoporosis. Is this true and does Armour Thyroid also have the same bad effect as synthroid?
