Guest guest
I used to avoid most salt avidly on the popular assumption that salt is bad for you. Bad idea. If your friend wants to eat salt, he should. But not ordinary table salt, which is almost all just sodium chloride. Your friend is probably craving some or all of the elements and trace elements present in sea water. And salt. Check out this website, which I think pretty much sums it up: http://www.curezone.com/foods/saltcure.asp When I finally let go of my salt avoidance and got into REAL salt, I craved it so much that no-one else could eat my salty food. For several months I salted heavily, until my body balanced itself somewhat. I still eat lots of salt (compared to the " norm " ), but I can cope without it sometimes now, which tells me that whatever imbalance was there to start with is pretty much gone.
