Guest guest
Health care in the UK isnt the best, even though some other countries think it is. We have NHS health care. Free?? No way. We have paid in our National Insurance Contributions since the start of the days we worked. (In my case, 50 years). Our medications are guided by how much they cost as well. If you have cancer (I have) and the medication is expensive, then they just refuse to pay for it. I opted not to have surgery, chemotherapy & radium. I was told I wouldnt see Xmas 2005 if I didnt have surgery, etc. Its now getting on for Xmas 2008, and Im doing fine. Still being told its IMPERATIVE I have surgery. Im still refusing. Too many people are scared when diagnosed, and I can understand their fears, but there are often better ways to combat this scary diagnosis. Just MY opinion.
