I've known for some time that ideally the head of the bed should face East or

thereabouts (feng shui).

We managed that quite naturally in our previous house, but in this place I have

to put the head of the bed under the window for the head to face S.E., which I

like to have open all year being a fresh air fiend, so its not ideal is it ...

anyway, in the nearly 2 years that we've been here (doesn't time fly!), I've had

the bed this way and that (as you can imagine), but most of the time the bed has

faced N,E. which is not quite kosher is it, but its better for the room

ergonomics & ambiance (or whatever). so ... on my early morning walk yesterday,

I was at a particular spot over the other side of the road and lo and behold I

could see that big bright orange thing that we see in this country once or twice

a year ... and when I looked over at the back of the house, I realised I just

had to move the bed again - permanently this time as the sun comes up right

behind my bedroom window.

If you're thinking (go on - be honest) he's really lost it this time (hahaha!),

think about it ... The Sun, (actually a Star) is massive compared to The Moon or

any of the other planets in " our " system ... The Moon is responsible for the

movement of the Seas and Oceans tides twice daily, and the Sun is the " giver of

life " of which there would be none without it - at all.

So, (if you're still in the room), The Sun, coming up behind your head in the

morning, enthuses the body and mind with life-force, and hence relaxes the body

and mind upon setting in the west (or thereabouts) ... There is no doubting that

we are all part of many cycles and rhythms in life - daily, monthly, yearly,

daytime, night time etc., so to be " in tune " with these cycles and rhythms, can

only be - for our good!

Ray.
