Guest guest
Howdy y'all, The solution to determining whether or not you can drink your well water is to have it tested .. you will then know whether or not its safe .. and if so, just how safe it is .. and if not, just what is it that makes it not safe and that will tell you whether pouring in this or that will help .. though I doubt that pouring anything into a well will affect the quality of the water as its being constantly replaced. Cisterns are a different matter but not many folks drink cistern water today. After having lived in Turkey for 26+ years (19+ this last trip) and having consumed bottled water the entire time .. I returned to the USA last summer and settled in the country outside Paris, TN. We have a deep aquifer well with mighty sweet water .. but still, I wanted to test it. Since opening shop in 1995, I have tested the Hydrosols we sell (every 90 days) for fungal and/or microbial contamination .. at: Superior Labs, Inc. 1075 Amity Road Galloway, Ohio 43119 Tel: (614) 870-6826 Tel: (800) 886-5227 Fax: (614) 851-1375 Superior Laboratories, Inc., is an authorized testing agency: 1. Ohio EPA Water Approval No. 890 2. USDA Accreditation Number 3983 Because I test a lot of Hydrosols we have a reduced price but I think the normal price is around $40 or so. Our water tested as being MORE PURE than the acceptable standard for drinking water, which is a Plate Count of bacteria as high as 500 per 100 ml of pure water. Yours may well test the same. No need to guess .. just get your water tested and be comfortable. Matter of fact, if you are drinking municipal water and don't mind spending a few bucks, you might test it and it you do, don't be surprised if it shows a contamination level that is ABOVE the acceptable standard .. many, many U.S. cities have such drinking water. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch .. http://www.AV-AT.com
