Guest guest
Hi all this is my first post and I was hoping you might be able to help guide me to some natural medicine that reduce inflammation in the joints caused by a rare auto immune disease? I'm confused by all thats out there and have been advised to take Ultra Inflam X anyone with experience with this? Thanks, Mandi
Guest guest
Hi Mandi, One thing to consider is fish oil or flax (linseed) oil - Omega 3 fatty acids are used to produce type 1 prostaglandins in the body which are anti-inflammatory in action. And reduce the sources of arachidonic acid (i.e. red meat) and type 2 prostaglandins - this means generally Omega 6 fatty acids which are sourced from polyunsaturated plant oils and fats. These are more inflammatory in action. Note that olive oil is still ok as it is a MONOunsaturated plant oil. And Omega 6 fatty acids such as Evening Primrose Oil are still beneficial for some people. I am simple saying here that in the case of someone with inflammatory conditions is better to favour Omega 3 fatty acids over Omega 6 fatty acids. Hope this helps, Sharon
Guest guest
Should have also added that bromelain is also a good anti-inflammatory agent.
