Guest guest
eye exercises improve ur vision. M0266 - All Vision, No Strain (Presented by: Lt Col Harish Nagpal, hnag49 (AT) (DOT) co.in) It's sad but true that eye care doesn't figure at all in our fitness regimens. Our jobs or lifestyle are very strenuous on our eyes. No point turning blind eyes towards this; for you certainly don't want to turn blind! Sorry for the pun but you better take good care of your eyes. Apart from doing the eye exercises, follow these simple tips for great vision: ·        Stroll barefoot for about 10 minutes on dew-laden grass early in the morning. ·        Fill your mouth with water and then splash cold water on your eyes. Do this 3–5 times in the morning. ·        Don't strain your eyes while doing any eye exercises. Your facial muscles should be calm, not tense. ·        Avoid direct contact with light. Always cover your eyes when in direct sunlight or very bright lights. ·        Avoid too bright or too dark an ambience in your living room. ·        While reading and working, always ensure that the light source is behind you, ideally towards the left, so that there's no shadow cast on your book/papers. ·        Carefully rinse your eyes at least two or three times through the day. ·        Protect your eyes from dust and smoke. Home Eye Care ·        Add ½ cup water to triphalapowder and mix well. Rinse your eyes well with this mix every morning. ·        Soak 5 almonds in water overnight. In the morning, peel and grind coarsely with black pepper or sugar. Chew well. ·        Soak cotton pads in rosewater. Close your eyes and place pads over your eyes. Relax for 10 minutes. Feel instantly refreshed! Stop Screen Strain! ·        Switch to LCD or flat screen monitors. They reduce the glare that causes eyestrain. A cheaper alternative: Affix an anti-glare over your regular monitor. ·        Get a screen that allows for height adjustment and sideways rotation. This ensures that you don't have to tilt your neck at awkward angles. ·        Keep your computer screen at arm's length from your eyes and the screen top at or just below your eye level. Resize computer fonts for better legibility. Vital Vitamins ·        Vitamin A: Prevents night blindness. Sources: Carrot, apricot, turnip, green leafy vegetables like spinach and broccoli ·        Vitamin C: Reduces risk of glaucoma and macular degeneration. Sources: Orange , lemon, papaya, tomato, cantaloupe, strawberry, mango, broccoli ·        Vitamin E: Reduces risk of cataract.. Sources: Almonds, sunflower seeds/oil, peanuts, vegetable oil, whole grains, wheat germ, sweet potatoes (By: Yogacharya Dr Surakshit Goswami) __._,_..___ .. Bring your gang together. Do your thing.
