My mom is going to be 63 and when she went into have her check up, her

blood pressure was 150 over 90. Her doctor wants her on BP medicine and

she does not want to do that. She is already on Cholesterol medicine.

She did have a coffee and was just coming from work when she saw the

doctor. My question is this, I was thinking she should take a

therapeutic dose of flax seed oil along with her Omega 3 supplement. Is

there anything else she can do naturally to lower her BP? She has been

working on her diet and is gluten and casein intolerant. She is also

under a lot of stress because my dad has been laid off for two months

and her job is very physical and stressful.

Thanks,

Shelley

Shelley,

I am hypertensive too. Hyptertension can be triggered by salt, coffee,

stress, etc. There are many foods that can control blood pressure. Avocado is

a good one, it battles diabetes, lowers cholesterol, helps stop strokes,

controls blood pressure and smooths skin. Apricot also controls bp, and so with

bananas, beets, broccoli, cantaloupe, chestnuts, Figs - lowers cholesterol and

controls blood pressure, garlic - controls bp and lowers cholesterol, lemons

controls bp (in the Philippines, when one has elevated bp, the person is given a

glass of lemon juice or pineapple juice with no sugar and after 15-30 minutes,

the bp is lowered to normal), limes, mushrooms, and watermelon.

Of course, all of the above should be taken in moderation.

As for diabetes, Swedish Bitters can help contain diabetes by making the

pancreas work.

Navy or haricot beans or string beans can be used also. Here, the pods

(remove seeds) are boiled then taken throughout the day. Needless to say, you

have to stay away from sweets, carbohydrates, and all foods that spike the blood

sugar. Fruits in moderation is ok.

Here is a remedy from Dr. Ellingwood's Medical Journals in the early 1900s.

Visit this website and find the old remedy. He presribed beef. We all know

that cows at that time ate healthy grass and not feeds. So if you want to try

this remedy, go for organic grass fed beef. The article is midway. Just go to

" Edit " and select " find " and type " diabetes melitus " .

Hope you will be helped by these leads.
