PixiFairy,

Try walking outside--and it doesn't have to be for miles and miles.

When you get your break at work, try walking around the building. Or,

if it's not too far, try walking to and from work. Some people like to

walk with others, but when you have a lot going on in your life it's

amazingly beneficial to just get alone for a few minutes to think.

You'd be surprised how much you can figure out on your own. And don't

forget journaling--that has helped me figure out a lot of things in the

past. Also, try to figure out where you want to be next year

(short-term goal) and decide what needs to be done to get you to that

point. Sometimes having a goal, rather than just existing day to day,

can help you focus on what's important in your life, as well as give you

hope for the future.

Concerning the anti-depressants--the first thing that's prescribed may

not work for you. It may take months and months figuring out the right

medication and the right dosage. What you don't want is something that

takes away your personality and sense of humor. It might be best if you

went to a psychiatrist, if that is possible with your insurance.

Hopefully, trying some of the many wonderful suggestions already posted

to this list will help you to get better and you can say goodbye to the

pharmaceuticals.

Take care.

Joy
