Guest guest
Hi, In the " Life extension Magazine April 2008 " there is a big Article about Tryptophan. http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2008/apr2008_Why-Aging-People-Become-Depresse d-Fatigued-And-Overweight_01.htm I have massive sleep disorder since 2-3 months.. I am an 53 years old female, probably in the beginning of the menopause-period. Every night I wake up several times.. Do you think that a specific amount of L-Tryptophan, taken before bed time can help? Who has experience with it? Many thanks for Replies Lydia
Guest guest
Hi I am 56 and have had sleep problems all my life, even as a baby my mother said I just didn't sleep like other children did - as young as 2nd grade I can remember waiting for my parents to fall asleep so I could get up and read...... I am sooooooo tired of being tired!!! I'm on my 3rd bottle of HTP-5 - have tried trypophan, every herbal remedy under the sun, homeopathic and even a lot of prescription stuff does not work...... I just don't think it is ever going to happen...... I do have a tumor on my pituitary and wonder if that is blocking the production of serotonin or whatever helps make you fall asleep. I also am hypothyroid and my numbers are screwy - Endro thinks because of the tumor....... SeaLady
Guest guest
Maybe its natural for you to go to sleep later. I hate that we have to all fit the same mold, even take drugs to make us comform. My son has DSPS an he has had it all his life. Its people whose circadian rhythms don't quite match up with the rest of society. They go to sleep just fine if allowed to sleep when their body tells them its time, getting up is a big problem. They aren't any lazier than anyone else; they just find it difficult to function at times when their body clock tells them they should be sleeping. http://health.nite-owl/?yguid=106223540 Barbara > > Hi I am 56 and have had sleep problems all my life, even as a baby my mother > said I just didn't sleep like other children did - as young as 2nd grade I > can remember waiting for my parents to fall asleep so I could get up and > read...... > > I am sooooooo tired of being tired!!! Guest guest
SeaLady I would be pretty sure that the tumor on the pituitary is blocking alot of things. However, since you had this problem, I would say that the tumor is a symptom of your sleeplessness. Ask yourself what traumatic thing happened before second grade that caused you the sleep problems. EFT would help in your case, I would think. Also do yoga pranayams, especially long deep breathing while focusing on the third eye point. Find a good teacher and take some classes that the teacher can address these problems. Do meditation. Guest guest
SeaLady, Just to let you know, you might wish to try, when i take Moringa Oleifera fresh-frozen leaves as tea with ginger, turmeric and cayenne powder, i all of a sudden feel so sleepy and have deep sleeps at night. Moringa can be found in big Asian Stores and Filipino Stores in the freezers. Called Drumstick, Horseradish, Malunggay. One of the three names would appear on the package. Guest guest
did not know there was a DX for this except that my circadiam rhythm is out of whack - my cortisol levels are highest at midnight and lowest at 8:00 am - which accounts for the " night " owl part of my problem - just not the can't fall asleep no matter what time it is part..........lol Maybe its natural for you to go to sleep later. Guest guest
As I had sleep problems even as a baby - I don't know how I would know what " dramatic " thing might have happened to me - I started staying up to read in 2nd grade........well because before that I didn't know how to read all that much......lol I think my body just does not make serotonin, possibly from the pituitary tumor... I have also tried the " third " eye, didn't get any relief from that either - I truly believe there is not much I can do if my body just doesn't make what is needed. Except to find out why - which there is only guessing about - not much has been done in this area. SeaLady I would be pretty sure that the tumor on the pituitary is blocking alot of things. Guest guest
SeaLady Did someone die when you were young or did you have a traumatic birth or something else? Ask your parents? When you have more info, check into doing EFT?
