Melly,

Here is my understanding. Colloidal Silver and Ionic Silver are

interchangeable terms. Argyria is one of the serious side effects caused by

the prolonged ingestion of colloidal silver.

Old silver solutions were officially 7-19% in strength or Parts Per Million;

thousands of times the strength of today’s much refined, light reflecting,

yellow colored, electro-colloidal silver solutions.

The Colloidal Silver I make is clear to light yellow in color, depending on

if I cleaned the silver electrodes properly between batches. Occasionally I

will even get some silver particles I can see. If it bothers one, you can

filer the silver through a paper towel to remove them.

I started making my silver about 1 year ago. I take about 1 oz per day in

the winter and up to 4 oz/day during times of illness. Colloidal Silver

between 10-20ppm is said to be safe, as what I make is about 10-16ppm.

Colloidal Silver is a great germicide. It is the only thing I use on the

kids of a strep infection. I also use it as a nasal spray and it clears pink

eye in a single dose. Yes, you can use it in your eyes too. My dogs drink it

as their water during times of stress or illness.

Colloidal silver uses electricity to split silver ions into particles,

putting the silver into an aqueous solution. Thus the name Ionic Silver or

Colloidal Silver.

The machine I use is the Silver Puppy. I have no affiliation or monetary

gain in this company. Just a machine that is easy to use and has made

perfect, consistent batches for me. Colloidal Silver is light sensitive, so

I keep mine in a glass jar, in a brown paper bag in a rarely opened cabinet.

There is good and bad information about most anything out there. Do your

research and feel comfortable in your decision.

Hope this helps. Love the stuff!!

Diane and all other CS users/makers,

I am just beginning to believe in the goodness of

colloidal silver. However, upon reading i am left so

confused. Apparently, most colloidal silvers on the

market are " ions " and not pure colloids. A less

effective colloidal silver version. And to make one's

own is advised, however, which brand of machine is

best? Some machines only produce ions too. Which

color is best? Some say colorless is good, some say

Argyria is a problem that occurs with large scale intake of silver salts - there

has never been a proven case of anyone getting argyria from colloidal silver or

ionic silver. When I was travelling and using my colloidal silver machine, I

didn't worry over much if I had to use tap water rather than distilled water -

even though that meant I was ingesting silver salts that could in theory mess me

up neurologically and make me glow silver. You need to take an awful lot to get

argyria - and even then it is possible to chelate it out of the system with lots

of vitamin C - I think there's a site somewhere that has details of a

silver-chelating programme.
