Guest guest
A number of years ago I read an article describing why this author did not Race for the Cure. It was so well written and pointed out the distraction and manipulation by this event. Millions of dollars are spent buying little pink pins, bears, ballcaps and Kitchen Aid mixers. No progress has been made in curing breast cancer only in diagnosing it . Her point was that breast cancer is a serious ugly disease, far from pink and fluffy and the Race for the Cure allows people to feel good about it and be duped into thinking they are actually doing something to prevent (never cure) the disease while spending massive amounts of money to propetuate the foundation. I lost this article in a computer crash and if anyone remembers or has access to it I would appreciate direction on how to access it again.
