Guest guest
Hi, am looking into buying a dustmite cover for the bed- have had 2 fabric samples sent to me- I was so surprised- they are so thin- just like a cotton sheet- one was from Oakville- a family owned company named Sleep Clean www.sleepclean.com- free shipping and no taxes. The queen size is $129.99- 100% cotton, chemical and dye free with a 15 yr warranty- does anyone have this one- which company do you use? the other one was from the US- can't recall the details right now. Any info would be helpful, Thanks, Dianne
Guest guest
Thanks for this link - I was just talking to them. I am interested in what they call 'Bed in a Bag' which is a mattress cover, pillow covers, and boxspring cover. They are going to send me fabric samples of the 100% cotton samples they have. To know if I will reacte to any of the chemicals in the cotton [many chemicals are used/sprayed on cotton and as such stay in the cotton itself], I need a sample that I can at least put my head on overnight - sniffing it will not do as, for me anyhow, I sometimes will not know I reacte to something unless I am exposed to it for awhile. I am not saying that I do not reacte or only reacte so little that it is not noticable - that is not how MCS works. In any case, the person I spoke to seemed to know enough about MCS [Mulitple Chemical Sensitities] to understand that. He actually was quite knowledgable - we discussed several things. Their stuff is also certified and been tested that it does do what they say and keeps out allergens, etc. But I actually wanted to let you know, that they are getting organic cotton in about 3 weeks - they will not stock all sizes but will make them up as needed accordingly to specified sizes. They will also do the same with 100% organic cottonsheet sets. blessings Shan PS being thin or thick is not what keeps out allergens etc, - nor is it thread count. It is the pore size of the weave, which must be consistent too. Something can be a high thread count, but the fabric can be woven with such a thin thread that the 'pore' size is large, not small enough to keep out dust mites, mold, etc as well as chemicals. I wasn't aware of that - I had thought that the thread counts were always consistent plus that a high thread count automatically meant that the pore size would be smaller. PPS - I asked about the taxes and he said that taxes were included in the price of the products. The GST is the same in all the provinces in Canada, but the PST or provincial tax varies quite a bit as does shipping costs - but shipping is free too. Evidently if averages out - as some places have lower PST but are further away from the company so some PST will be lower, but the shipping would be higher. _Do you have dust mite bed protectors and what kind? _ (/message/52578;_ylc=X3o\ DMTJyczFsdG9tBF9TAzk3 MzU5NzE1BGdycElkAzQxOTgyNTEEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDYwODE0BG1zZ0lkAzUyNTc4BHNlYwNkbX NnBHNsawN2bXNnBHN0aW1lAzEyMDg5Mzc0NTg-) Posted by: " Dianne Phillips " _phillipsd _ (phillipsd?Subject= Re:Do%20you%20have%20dust%20mite%20bed%20protectors%20and%20what%20kind?) _mommydidi333 _ (http://profiles./mommydidi333) Tue Apr 22, 2008 4:44 pm (PDT) Hi, am looking into buying a dustmite cover for the bed- have had 2 fabric samples sent to me- I was so surprised- they are so thin- just like a cotton sheet- one was from Oakville- a family owned company named Sleep Clean www.sleepclean.am looking into buying a dustmite cover for the bed- have had 2 fabric samples sent to me- I was so surprised- they are so thin- just like a cotton sheet- one was from Oakville- a family owned company named Sleep Clean www.sleepclean.<WBR Any info would be helpful, Thanks,
