Guest guest
I use Doctor's Best brand of curcumin with Bioperine, and it is a standardized extract. It is 500 mg capsules. I've been unsuccessful at finding one with any kind of certification of purity (lead concern) and potency. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks **************It's Tax Time! Guest guest
Regarding turmeric, you may or may not want to do this but I take two heaping teaspoon fulls of turmeric and mix them with a glass of sweetened herbal tea and drink it. It does not taste bad and you can certainly use a more conventional dose. I doctor on a public TV station (channel nine in St. Louis) two weeks ago said that it is a powerful Alsheimer's disease preventer as well as good for joints and cancer preventer! In India they typically make tea out of it by just mixing with water, again, perhaps not quite as much as I've been using... The Doctor on channel nine said that Turmeric, real mustard and curry and all good for reversing the aging process of the brain but I don't remember exactly how. I seem to remember it having something to do with removing plaque maybe... He believes this is why they have less cancer in India and bulk Turmeric is also cheep! Guest guest
I take the organic turmeric powder used in kitchens. We also sometimes use fresh ones. Melly
Guest guest
Thank you Kat! Do you mind telling me how much you take, and if it seems effective? , teddycassi wrote: > > > I use Doctor's Best brand of curcumin with Bioperine, and it is a > standardized extract. Guest guest
Melly, would you please tell me where you get organic turmeric? Thanks!
Guest guest
Turmeric is oil soluble and not water soluble. Best taken mixed with oil. I take mine with coconut oil. Just gulp it down and follow up with tea. I can't remember where i read it, but putting just a bit of black pepper even enhances it curative properties. I don't do this though, maybe i should. I take turmeric in the morning and throughout the day specially before going to bed. It helps control diabetic neuropathy. Melly
Guest guest
As i have mentioned before, turmeric is oil soluble, not water soluble, so you will have to ingest some oil with it. I mix it with coconut oil and chuck it down, then i follow it up with herbal tea as i do not like the taste of coconut oil. Melly
Guest guest
Not all coconut oils taste the same. Some have no taste at all - while other brands can have a strong taste, and there is also everything in between. I injest coconut oil everyday and have been for the last couple of years. I used to have candida but went on Bee Wilders* candida protocol and don't have it anymore. It was in her group that I learned about coconut oil. Actually, one of the members surveyed the various brands of coconut oil and the members told her what the brand they used tasted like. This info was then put on a Word document. So then we had a list of appropriate and healthy brands of coconut oil with where to find them, how much they cost, as well as what they tasted like. I still have this document - email me if you want it. blessings Shan _Re: reliable supplement brands _ (/message/52533;_ylc=X3o\ DMTJybmpoNzdkBF9TAzk3MzU5NzE1BGdycElkAzQxO TgyNTEEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDYwODE0BG1zZ0lkAzUyNTMzBHNlYwNkbXNnBHNsawN2bXNnBHN0aW1 lAzEyMDg1OTE4NzA-) Posted by: " melly banagale " _tita_mel _ (tita_mel?Subject= Re:%20reliable%20supplement%20brands) _tita_mel _ (http://profiles./tita_mel) Fri Apr 18, 2008 1:49 pm (PDT) As i have mentioned before, turmeric is oil soluble, not water soluble, so you will have to ingest some oil with it.
