You may just need to bite the bullet and take Metformin (a Rx drug). Just

because it's allopathic medicine, that doesn't mean that it's evil or harmful or

something, necessarily... Metformin has worked wonders for many of my friends

who have Type II diabetes.

In the meantime, cinnamon and bitter melon are said to be good food sources

of chemicals that naturally bring down blood sugar levels.

And, when you say that you're watching your diet, I *assume* that you are

careful about the glycemic index of all of the starchy foods and/or fruits that

you're consuming, right? If you're not doing that, then you need to.

Good Luck!

I disagree. Diabeti drugs force the pancreas to produce more

insulin. High insulin is not healthy. Many of the so-called

" diabetic complications " (heart disease, renal failure, liver failure,

etc.) are made far worse by taking allopathic diabetes drugs. Insulin

resistance at the cellular level can be reversed with proper diet and

supplements. Carbs are not good, whether they are high glycemic or

low. So I stay away from the ADA diet the docs push and go for a low

carb lifestyle.

I have to agree with Alobar on this one . The fact is that metformin will lower

blood sugar but those taking this type of drugs have 300% more heart attacks

than those who do not.It has not proven to stop any of the other problems that

diabetes cause. Once again allopathic medicine treats symptom and not the cause.

Alobar is also right about the dangers of a spike insulin.

Right on. Drugs are absolutely the wrong way to go. A correct diet

switch is the most effective and the safest.

There are many to choose from. Throw out all the grains and potatoes

from your diet and switch to fats for energy.

It is explained here http://www.curemanual.com/diseases-and-tweaks/diabetes

The goal is to get rid of every drug you are taking.

A great life is lived with zero drugs.
