Guest guest
Hi, I just joined this group. I'm from Orlando, FL. I'm interested in alternative health solutions - specifically relating to staph infections. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to treat staph infections? Antibiotics are not what I'm looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Sally

Guest guest
Careful! Staph infections are not to neglected; they can become very serious, and quickly. A small splinter can turn into a lost finger, hand, arm or leg! Soap and water wash is still accepted as the best precaution against infection. It is number one for doctors going to surgery... Yes, antibiotics are over-used; that's exactly why they are not working well anymore. But staph infections can even kill; don't hesitate seeing your doctor if you are not responding to self-care first aid: watch for undue and spreading redness, swelling, and/or soreness. , " sally.michaels08 " <sally.michaels08 wrote: > > Hi, > > I just joined this group. Guest guest
Hi Sally. Greetings from Titusville! Because of Orlando's vibrant oriental community you have a wealth of legitimate practitioners of Chinese medicine to choose from. We are lucky in that we have lots of other alternative practitioners too, far more than most places in the US. Pick up a free local copy of Natural Awakenings magazine. They are at Chamberlaine's, Whole Foods, and other such places. Their national site is: http://www.naturalawakeningsmag.com. In addition to interesting articles and an ongoing calendar they have just tons of ads from alternative health practitioners. Many are regular physicians who became disillusioned with Western medicine. Chelation therapy, intravenous vitamin C, nutrition based therapies and more can be found in their ads. You can meet many alternative care practitioners in person at the annual Body-Mind-Spirit Expo on May 3-4 at the fairgrounds. It is always interesting, informative, and loads of fun. You can find out more about it here: http://bmse.net/bmse2008/ Let me know if I can be of more help to you. I have a friend who is an extraordinarily powerful healer. She healed me of a disease and I watched her remove a birthmark from a child's face. Yancey
