I have no financial connection with this website nor this person. Shan

Hello,

In my last two emails I briefly answered two questions:

1) Is hypnosis safe?

2) What is hypnosis?

Today, let's look at one of the questions many people have regarding

hypnosis programs on audio CDs.

" Are hypnosis CDs really effective? "

Yes, for specific issues. We select particular issues to address in our CD

programs--issues that can be worked on safely outside of a psychologist's

office. More serious issues like depression should not be addressed in a CD

program.

To quote Mike Adams from _NewsTarget.com_ (http://newstarget.com/) , who

recently reviewed several of our products, " Audio hypnosis programs can help

reshape beliefs so that your behavior shifts seem automatic and natural. This

can lead to an accelerating cycle of success. "

In other words: you do something, it works, and you keep listening to the

CD. Continuing to listen helps you continue the successful behaviors, and you

make progress toward your goal.

Of course, there are pros and cons when comp aring a CD program to a

personal hypnotherapist. Again, I'm going to quote Mike Adams, AKA The Health

Ranger:

" The main drawback to audio hypnosis is that the audio program cannot

respond to you. It can't observe your physiology like an in-person hypnotist

would

do, nor can it alter the program according to what the hypnotist sees working

(or not working) with you at that particular moment.

The advantage, though, is that audio hypnosis programs are remarkably

inexpensive compared to a live hypnotist, and you can listen to them as many

times

as you want without paying an additional fee. There's also the convenience

that you don't have to go anywhere, or make any appointments, to experience the

benefits of these hypnosis programs. "

So with a CD program you lose the personal touch, but you gain the benefit

of decreased cost, increased repetition, and convenience.

Our therapists talk about this issue as one of comprehensiveness. When they

are recording their programs, they must include a variety of different

sessions to cover all the possible needs of potential users. I think that this

may

be a very good thing, since you may find that one particular session that

didn't mean much to you at first becomes more meaningful to you over time as

you

grow.

Coming up next: " Will I be controlled by the voice on the CD? "

All the best,
