Guest guest
Just came across this tidbit in a book that suggested using pure, organic coconut oil (the kind you cook with) for sunscreen. Has anyone ever tried this or heard of this? thanks, dianne
Guest guest
Hi I am on the Coconut Oil Forum here at , it is an incredible oil, especially if you buy Virgin, no heat method produced coconut oil - I do use it on my skin all the time, I am fair skinned and live in Fl, I have attended all day affairs and have been one of the few people not to burn by using the coconut oil. Your skin will also feel wonderful, but even better VCO is antibacterial and antiviral - so it can help heal and cure you of many things....it is a GOOD oil in the no heat method produced oil and many of us take it to help with metabolism, due to thyroid, for diabetics along with whey it can help even out your blood sugar and help your body burn longer and slower with little to no spikes in BS. There are many studies done where the oil is able to get " into " the molecule of the herpes virus and do what all the antibiotics could not do....kill those bad cells/germs.... Here is a link: coconut_oil_open_forum it is a similar forum to this group in that topic are welcome if they pertain to improving health in general. I use it in place of all butters and oils on food, to cook with and make chocolate candy....
Guest guest
I've been told coconut oil has a 15 rating. I was disappointed in that information myself because I needed the D3 an had to stop using it. If I was going to be out long enough to burn thats what I would use though. I'm on the coconut oil board myself an thats where found that information.
