Guest guest
I have no connections with this website _About Hypnosis_ (http://decisionshypnosis.com/about-hypnosis/) _http://decisionshypnosis.com/about-hypnosis/_ (http://decisionshypnosis.com/about-hypnosis/) I firmly believe that the body follows the mind. “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.†Many commercials tout the effectiveness of this drug or that supplement – telling you that you should “Change your body’s chemistry.†I believe that changing your thoughts DOES change your chemistry. Have you ever tried to feel depressed while skipping along the sidewalk and swinging your arms? Thoughts and actions determine how healthy you are, physically and mentally. Everything is intertwined, and you must deal with the root of the problem if you want it to cease being a problem. Things as simple as getting more sunlight during the day have been shown to increase the quality of your sleep and decrease feelings of depression. Your beliefs are always at work – whether awake, asleep, at work, or at play. They handle everything you don’t have to think about. This is a wonderful thing, because if they didn’t, we’d have to constantly remember how to drive, walk, chew, breathe, and all those other very important things. And there’s no way we could, because the conscious mind isn’t built to do that. We would be reduced to savages, vegetables with no time to think of anything beyond basic survival – this is because the conscious mind maxes out at about 7 pieces of information at once. These pieces aren’t large, either. Breathing is one, reading is two, holding the mouse is three, shifting in your chair is four… you understand where this is going. We’ll use hypnosis to open huge information channels and ‘reprogram’ your beliefs. When we open these channels, we can get across much more complex and powerful ideas than you normally do – so much that we can create new habits in a matter of minutes. We don’t just bridge the gap, we fill it up and pave it over! You’ve been doing the best you can, with the information and beliefs you have. Once in a while, your information is faulty, and you teach yourself a weird lesson. That’s when you get a halfway solution – a distracter, like overeating when you feel insecure. This is the best solution you were able to come up with at the time of the initial problem, and you just never realized how you could change that habit afterward. Hypnosis can help you learn new beliefs, and new ways (better ways!) of dealing with problems. This makes change natural, efficient, and rapid. Do you really have any excuse not to? ---- _FAQ’s_ (http://decisionshypnosis.com/about-hypnosis/faqs/) _http://decisionshypnosis.com/about-hypnosis/faqs/\_ (http://decisionshypnosis.com/about-hypnosis/faqs/\) _Home_ (http://decisionshypnosis.com/) / _http://decisionshypnosis.com/_ (http://decisionshypnosis.com/) _About hypnosis_ (http://decisionshypnosis.com/about-hypnosis/) / _http://decisionshypnosis.com/about-hypnosis/_ (http://decisionshypnosis.com/about-hypnosis/) FAQ's Q: Will I cluck like a chicken? Tell all my secrets? Take off my clothes? Stand on my head? A: No! Why would you do that? Those on stage during a hypnosis comedy show have volunteered to entertain the audience. They want to have fun, experience something new, and do things they wouldn’t normally do in front of others. That’s not what you’re coming in for, so you won’t feel the urge to do anything silly. I, on the other hand, might make faces, strange noises, spin around on twirly stools, or laugh uproariously at my own jokes… but I do all that normally. Q: Does it really work? A: It works for everyone who follows instructions. You don’t have to ‘ believe’. The only clients I have any trouble with are those who insist on changing my instructions to ‘fit their map’, so to speak – instead of letting me guide them through new territory. (I now screen out those would-be clients.) Q: I’m very strong-willed (analytical, independent, control-freakish, etc.) - what if I can’t be hypnotized? A: You’ve got nothing to worry about. As long as your IQ is above 70 or so, you have the ability to be hypnotized. Inebriated people are sometimes difficult to hypnotize, as are some mentally disabled people. Generally speaking, the people who are the very easiest to hypnotize are those with great imaginations. Q: Is hypnosis occult? A: No. This was the biggest question facing me when I first started Decisions. I come from an evangelical Christian background, and was raised to believe that hypnosis opened doors to demonic influence. In my research, I discovered no passage in the Bible condemning hypnosis, nor could I find ANY hypnotic horror stories that did not also include a strong, overt, occult factor. I don ’t conduct hypnotic séances, I don’t perform past life regressions, and I don’t try to levitate. So far, I have seen no evidence from any person or any source that hypnosis is occult, lets demons in, or harms people – thirdhand stories are the closest I’ve come to these allegations. On the contrary, I believe that everyone who doesn’t make use of every tool they are offered is doing themselves a disservice. If our bodies are temples, what right do we have to leave them dirty when a vacuum cleaner is standing in the corner? Q: Then what is it? A: Hypnosis is learning, and learning is hypnosis. Yes, it looks different when I do it than when a professor or trainer does it, because I teach feelings, habits, and beliefs. They teach conscious processes they want you to think about each time you do it. I don’t want you to have to think about the things I teach for the rest of your life - I want you to do it naturally and effortlessly. Q: Can I get stuck in hypnosis, like in that movie ‘Office Space’? A: Never happens. Funny movie, though. No, if I passed out or died and you didn’t notice immediately, you would eventually A: fall asleep, or B: come out of trance by yourself. I would appreciate it if you call 911 if this ever happens to me, though! Q: I have more questions! A: Then call me! My number is 229-227-5880. I’ll be happy to answer any questions, or refer you to someone I feel can help you more.
