Guest guest
Hello, I have asked questions regarding RA in this and other groups and the advice I received back was very sparse to say the least. About 2 months ago I decided to try something different. In that 2 months the pain has reduced to the point where my painkiller consumption has gone from 60mg per day to 10mg. I am able to look for work, and my attitude in general has improved. So here is my secret; 1000mg of Omega 3 fish oil 100mcg of Selenium 600mg of Alpha-Lipoic acid This is taken once a day for 6 days with 1 more day of nothing. I don't know if it will work for you but if you are tired of the painkillers and debilitating stiffness it's worth a try. Good Luck!
Guest guest
Would this help with Osteoarthritis do you think? My elderly aunt is in agony and would dearly love to reduce her medication. Would there be any contraindications with her existing meds? Thank you Peta x
Guest guest
I am going to try this. I don't have RA but I do have fibromyalgia and I some days I take more painkillers than I want to. Thanks! Guest guest
Peta, All of what I'm taking is essential nutrients. No drugs to mess with her normal meds. I have no idea whether it will work for osteoarthritis. You have to remember that RA is basically an autoimmune disease. That is not the case with osteo. To keep this legal I must add; As with any medication or supplement you should check with your primary care physician to avoid contraindications. Most of the responses I got when asking about RA were really for osteoarthritis. People generally don't know that even though they are both called " arthritis " they have different initial sources and therefore may require different therapies. If you put out a question for your Aunt I'm quite sure you will get many responses. Good Luck! , PParkegail wrote: > > Would this help with Osteoarthritis do you think?
