Guest guest
Hi everyone, I got bitten by a spider (I believe) around 72 hrs ago, close to my left elbow. I did not feel anything, someone had to call my attention to it, though it did hurt. I am in Tampa, Florida but have not been here long enough to hear about these nasty bites. I looked up Brown Reluctant, and was appalled by the photos, I don´t believe this was the type of spider that bit me, don´t know what it could have been but it does look like a bite. Have been taking MSM, Echinacea, Golden Seal, Spirulina and Maitake and using Lavender, Chamomile, and Tea Tree essential oils on the skin. The area is a bit less swollen and is less hard than it became before I treated it. It has not broken out, nor does it seem it will. It is about one inch in diameter and the area is quite red. I feel feverish and tired and have the symptoms of a flu, sore throat, a bit of a runny nose and general weakness. I don´t think I am getting worse, but not feeling any better either. Is there anything else I can do to alleviate the symptoms and accellerate recovery. Thank you very much in advance. LilyAna

Guest guest
I agree go to the Doctor's...spider venom (or any venom) can do serious and long lasting effects to the body. They also run a high risk of infection and respiratory issues. Until you get to the Dr's you can always try a mixture of charcoal and crushed flax as a paste on gauze, wrap with plastic wrap to hold in place and change or check in 4 hours to see if it helps.... as a drawing poultice. , " llaci2003 " <jjaksic wrote: > > Go to the ER....let them decide if you're getting better or not... >
Guest guest
Moderator's Note: For healing flesh (and preventing/dealing with infection) I strongly recommend http://www.acnehealingoil.com It heals all flesh injuries/wounds. DesertSkyNM -------- Take a nine volt square battery. Place the leads on top on each side of the bite. Wait 5 minutes. Turn the battery so the leads are reversed. Place on bite in same place and wait 5 minutes. Applying a small voltage, then reversing the polarity has been known to render the enzymes in a bite ineffective. Do it twice a day for 3 days. You will still need to see a doctor to make sure the flesh destroyed by the enzymes doesn't become infected. Good Luck! , " Liliana " <victoriaindi wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > I got bitten by a spider (I believe) around 72 hrs ago, close to my > left elbow. Thank you very much in advance. > > LilyAna > Hi LilyAna, I live in Fl too. Several years ago my son got bitten by a spider(not sure as to the type) but he exhibited very similar symptoms as you are. I put Dr. Christophers Black Ointment on the bite and covered it with gauze. I changes this 4 times a day, with tea tree, castille soap, and lavendar(mixed) washes in between the ointment. I also put him on Echinacea, Astragalus, Burdock,Olive leaf, and Cleavers tinc orally 3 times daily. I used Jamaican Dogwood(very low dose) for the discomfort as well. It took some time but he healed very well and has a tiny scar. He did have alot of discomfort with his bite, but not right off the bat-about 12 hours afterward. I hope you get well very soon and I hope this helps. Also a note-you should avoid alot of heat to the area, I found this helped with not spreading the venom far from the site of the bite. A note to the moderator: The kind of snakes we have here in Fl... as far as poisonous goes: Water Mocassins, Rattle Snake(diamondback, canebreak, and pygmy), Copperheads, Coral Snakes. There are also some exotics caught from time to time(those that were released when where they were staying was destroyed when Hurricane Andrew went thru): Cobras(King, monacaled spitting, and Forest), a few Taipans(i heard rumor of),and several more that I just can't remember_Sorry. Nonpoisonous would be common black snake, coachwhips, ringnecks, rat snakes, corn snakes, pythons, indigos, alot of various water snakes, king snakes, garter, ribbon, and hognose snakes. I hope this was the info you were looking for.
Guest guest
My brother in law said that when they were bitten by spiders, their father would catch that spider, kill it, mash it and take the mashed body with its juice and immediately apply it to the bite. This preventse swelling and occurence of fever. Never tried this yet... Melly
