Guest guest
Diarhyea for over a week. Sick at first with night chills and low grade night fevor now just " the runs " . Dr. supposedly did cultures and all came back negative. Sounds to me like beaver fever (giardia) but I'm not the DR. This is my husband who is sick. This has been going on way too long. He returned March 11 and has been sick since. He had the flu a week before he went so at first I thought he had pneumonia. But Dr. said that was just a coincidence, it was something he picked up in Mexico. Any suggestions? I started him on some probiotics ( the dog's actually) as I saw something on PubMed that probiotics might be a cure for giardia. I did search your database and files but came across nothing for intestinal problems. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Zolette Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
If it's any comfort to you, I was in Mexico the last week of Feb. and a " bug " like that was going around. My friend was sick for a good 2 weeks and I came home with a mild version of it. What they were doing for it was drinking something like Pedialyte to keep hydrated as well as water and Camomile tea as well as taking a probiotic. When I got home I did same and also, took oregano oil and did a parasite clease. What kind of cultures did the Dr. take? > Diarhyea for over a week. Guest guest
Use bifidus for diarrhea. (Not acidophilus) But make sure you get some that will actually work - most I have tested do not. If you stir the powder into milk, it should curdle the milk in a short time. Carol , Zolette Zuli <petrecipe wrote: > > Diarhyea for over a week. Guest guest
Natren is a brand of probiotics I use and trust - good quality in production and storage, though not cheap. Should be kept refrigerated, obviously, throughout shipping and storage though.
