Is grapefruit seed extract safe for topical use on babies?

I am trying to look up info on the internet about the safety of GSE

for babies, but am not having luck with my particular search. I use

cloth wipes and I make up my own wipes solution using sanitized water

and aloe vera juice which I pour on to my wipes in a clean plastic

container. I was adding a couple of drops of tea tree oil to the mix

as an antifungal & bacterial killing property, but both my baby & I

seem to be allergic to it. I have nothing to replace the tea tree oil

for now, but after a day with a new batch of solution (without the tea

tree oil), the wipes have been beginning to smell kind of moldy.

Would GSE take care of this? Or is there something else that would be

better to use that is also safe and gentle for babies' skin?
