Guest guest
Moderator's Note: I completely agree about the toxic liver component- I was running short on time and could not find a corresponding url quickly, I also figured someone else would mention it. Thank you, Sharon. Now that it is a lazy saturday morning, let me add that coffee enemas are " really adventurous " as Sharon mentioned and a more gentle enema to consider is a wheatgrass. Though the whole concept of an enema can be adventurous to many. http://www.falconblanco.com/health/supplements/wheatgrass.htm DesertSkyNM -------- Rose, I would add to what Alobar said... add a teaspoon of flax oil with the honey. Also - in naturopathic terms allergies point to a toxic liver... so maybe search the forum for topics on Liver Cleanse. You can also add milk thistle and lecithin to your supplement programme as these help detoxify the liver. And if you're feeling really adventurous - coffee enemas also help the liver detox. Guest guest
My friend uses stinging nettle caps as directed from Nature's way. She swears by them- they can be constipating for some although she said they had the opposite effect. Dianne - Alobar Friday, March 14, 2008 4:40 PM Re: << >> Allergies Remedies-HELP! Guest guest
Detoxing the liver is wonderful. I prefer the Hulde Clarke technique since it is only for one day. Seeing all of the cholesteral and gall stones in the toilet is amazing and there is an energy lift afterwards (until you start eating bad foods again). I mix 4 packets of EmergenC (lemon-Lime) in the Epsoms salts and I get it icy cold before drinking....goes down better. For allergies, these really drain the energies. Identifying food allergens is very important. If you have pollen allergies, you probably have food allergies too. I have posted this several times but I began taking 1) a prebiotic with a good probiotic (at least 15 billion cells) as poor internal bacteria can cause food allergies (that can lower immunity to external allergens), 2) HerbPharm Nettles Blend tincture...but it takes at least 3 weeks for it to clean up the allergies and you cannot stop taking it...but it is natural and good for you! I hope this helps...Lynn - sharonstrahan Saturday, March 15, 2008 6:09 AM Re: << >> Allergies Remedies-HELP!
Guest guest
Try mega dose of vitamin C . Dr. Linus Pauling ,alway said if your having allergy attacks ,you're not taking enough vitamin C. I've found that if I did a routine liver cleanse that I had very little problems with my allergies. Guest guest
I have been taking Stinging Nettle for years now. I only take it right before Spring; the last couple weeks of April until about end of June. And I'm good, no more allergies! I take the freeze dried capsules that I buy at Whole Foods. They've never affected my bowel movements thankfully. I am so thankful for Stinging Nettle!! Dawn
Guest guest
I wanted to add to my previous post.... I used to suffer terrible hayfever - had to take antihistamines constantly during the season just to function. In addition to trying to detoxify on a regular basis, I also changed my diet - cut out typical food allergens of wheat and dairy. For me, personally, also eggs - as these turned up on an blood test as a problem for me, although won't be for everyone. I take high doses of several supplements: - Vitamin C - 1000 mg, 2-3x per day - B50 Complex - 2x per day - Multimineral delivering magnesium of 500mg per day - not a one-a-day but a formula that requires several capsules taken at each meal. - high strength fish oil capsule, 2x per day. - Vitamin D in the winter (400 iu) This is a daily regime for me. Last year - even though it was supposed to be a very bad hayfever season in England, I only needed an antihistamine on one day. This is such a huge improvement for me. Anyway, my point is... look to your diet and nutrition as well. Regards, Sharon
