Has the ownership of this group changed?

Dear Group,

 

Let me introduce myself- this is Misty Trepke also known as DesertSkyNM- I had

to choose another email id due to the hacking problems.

 

I have moderated this group for 2+ years- and have been the owner for a year and

a half. I have also started my own group from scratch and have continued to

maintain it for nearly 6 years.

 

All day long for years I have allowed posts for products I don't know, trust,

approve, etc- because that is what the members want to speak about.

 

But this morning I finally had it. I found my " voice " if you will. If I allow

someone to promote the url to their dime a dozen MLM, surely I have an

obligation to share with everyone a company- a product- that if people could

connect to it, the whole understanding of alternative medicine would be turned

on it's ear. No exaggeration.

 

For me, this is a product/company that will ignite peoples connection to the

incredible power of natural healing. For years I have seen (and allowed posts)

that cast Alternative Medicine in the light of being a pharmaceutical-lite,

something you consider when the " real " medicine does not work. Something weak,

almost equating natural with wussie but without side affects.

 

Though I love the boards, that hurts my spirit.

 

Alternative medicine has repeatedly saved my life, starting with a 10+ yr

massively debilitating case of Mononucleosis/Chronic Fatique. Not everyone,

thank God, is going to have the chance to experience that but as a result will

not fully connect to the recovery that is possible. But everyone can get an

acne, or a cut, or a burn, or a scar. And from this one product/company they

will have the chance to glimpse the healing potential that radically changed my

life. And if I succeed in that, I will consider myself successful.

 

My personal healing is why I started as an alternative health columnist, which

then prompted me to start my own group to store my articles, which then grew and

eventually led to meeting Frank. He had spoken to me many years back that he

wanted to leave this group to me when it was his time to bow out from the lime

light. I accepted the awesome (and intimidating) gift because of my passion for

wanting to see real medicine healing people. I will continue to moderate the

board as best I can, and look forward to any input and contributions you wish to

share.

 

I do not receive payment for the endorsement of this company, though if it were

to come about, I would have no problems. Even moderators need to eat. And/or

if you wish to start up a kitty for said moderator, you know how to find me!

A while ago we were informed that there was a hacking problem with this

group and that the name had been changed slightly as a result. Okay.

But the person who announced it, claming to be a moderator, is not

someone I recognized posting here before that incident--someone going by

the name of DesertSky. What happened to Misty Trepke? Does Frank

(Califpacific) still own this group and have other people moderating it

or what is the story?

 

And now there is an ad for some acne product on every e-mail from this

forum I receive, saying that this forum now recommends it. This sort of

practice has always been strictly prohibited in this group.

 

I would like to know what is going on here.
