Guest guest
My husband has been bothered for the last several years with a skin condition in which bumps suddenly raise and begin to itch. The bumps can appear anywhere. Sometimes, they turn red and sometimes they don't. He's had them on his chest, on his back, on his legs, particularly on the calves, on his arms. Currently, they are on his knees, outer and inner thighs and they're cropping up on his lower back as well. He has been dealing with bloating and gastric distress, has had constipation for years, sinus problems (which he thought was due to a car accident where a sinus cavity was pierced), and other issues. After reading up on the symptoms parasites can produce, we realized it's REAL possible that he has parasites. I've read about Dr. Clarke's Black Walnut Hull tincture. However, I thought that the effective treatment for parasites required the green walnut hull. I've also know that garlic can be helpful but thought that a significant amount was needed to be really effective and not all garlic capsules/tablets are processed in a way that won't destroy the active ingredients of the garlic. Treatment by an allopathic doctor can be lengthy and costly since the medications available are targetted to only one or two parasites. So I am looking for a less toxic approach. Have any of you used a particular product that has actually been effective in the treatment of parasites? And how can you be certain that the parasites have been eliminated? Thanks for your help and suggestions, Paula
Guest guest
Paula Eat garlic. Use it in all your cooking for him. He should not eat spicy foods or citrus or tomatoes because of his rash. He needs to eat lots of fruits and veggies, particularly green ones. Guest guest
An old rememdy is garlic suppository- helps for worms etc. No harm comes from it either, odd as it sounds. Guest guest
Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, getting him to eat garlic is not an option. He doesn't like it and I don't think it likes him either. As for a garlic suppository, exactly how is that done? I read where such a suppository can be used for vaginal problems. , " Michael " <mwood wrote: > > An old rememdy is garlic suppository- > > >Use it in all your cooking for him. Guest guest
Sounds a bit gross, but peel it, of course; use one to two cloves. A bit of olive oil or other to grease the wheels as it were. Then just pop it in... - Paula Monday, March 03, 2008 9:55 AM Re: Possibly parasites? Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, getting him to eat garlic is not an option. Guest guest
Scabbies are easy to check for: rub on some olive or other oil. Wait a few minutes. Scabies burrow under the skin, munch about, lay eggs, and live. This activity causes one to itch like hell; and for some reason more so at night. Folks who havent experienced this cant imagine how it itches...kind of like it feels after one of those horrendous sunburns, only worse. If one has scabbies then after the oil is applied you'll see little dots, sometimes tracking in lines. Those are scabbies. Having had these 5 times ( I used to bathe and care for disabled kids in an institution where these were common) I learned that the stuff they give you doesnt always work well, casuinf continued itching while you wait for the doc to approve it. Sulphur (obtained at gardening or vetinary centers) mixed with an oil (they used to use kerosene, but olive oil or other oils work) then rubbed on the skin, left for an hour, then washed off in bath will rid one of these critters. Usually one to two days of this will rid them. This works! Caution: sulphur works because it is toxic. Leaving it on, or doing it too often, or applying to someone who has liver problems isnt a good idea. Michael - LOuise Johnson Monday, March 03, 2008 9:38 AM Re: Re: Possibly parasites? Guest guest
Could he be celiac? A friend was diagnosed with celiac and suffered terrible constipations with skin rashes. His rashes went away whenever he did a juice fast. Good luck, Dianne - LOuise Johnson Monday, March 03, 2008 10:38 AM Re: Re: Possibly parasites? Sounds like scabies to me.
