Hi everyone, I saw this post and just had to respond. EVERY morning when I get

up I have much mucous in my throat from all the post nasal drip all night long

and an constantly clearing it until abut 10:30am. BUT since I started using

lemon oil in my water, which is almost all I drink, That problem is really cut

short. I still wake up needing to clear it , but I start drinking the lemon

water and is helps get rid of it very shortly and I don't spend 3-4 hours

clearing it and annoying others too. Good luck with this Fran

My son has Downs Syndrome, and has always had more of a problem with

mucous in his throat than most folks. Cutting down on dairy has helped

- only use kefir now, and that doesn't cause the problems that regular

milk does. But we also had to cut out wheat. It seems any thing that

your body doesn't have a good reaction to, doesn't know how to use/break

down well, can cause problems with this. It took some experimentation

to discover the culprit foods, but doing so was well worth while. This

isn't an allergy issue, its a food tolerance issue. Sara

Doing some sort of mouth wash is probably the best solution to go

towards until you've seen a doctor. i'm sure excess phlegm is probably

due to many factors, such as your health and most likely your diet and

what your eating. try doing mouth washes and see a doctor, it could be

deeper then just your diet.

Hi,

First step is to remove all allergens from your home. For those

you can't eliminate, some form of allergic protection.

To cut the phlegm, drink water (preferably filtered) with organic

lemon juice. The organic juice isn't bitter like the commercial

stuff and a dash in each glass will cut the phlegm and make you feel

better.
