I am a 58 year old female who was diagnosed with breast cancer in June

of 2007. I have rejected all conventional therapies and am interested

in communicating with others who have chosen to " live well " instead

of " battling " cancer.

Depends on what you mean by living well. I was diagnosed with breast

cancer around thanksgiving. I am going the natural route. After doing

juicing and a few other things my blood test came back on the very low

side of normal for cancer counts.

Hi Cathy ! I'm 50 and was diagnosed in October 2006. I have had a mastectomy,

total lymph node removal to one side, and chemotherapy. I am now taking

something to block oestrogen. My cancer had spread before diagnosis and I still

have tumours which I am hoping to eradicate. I have made many lifestyle changes

over the last year, so although I haven't rejected conventional therapies I am

seeking to heal myself through means other than pharmaceuticals alone.

Unfortunately conventional therapies will only hold things at bay for a while,

not cure. The word cure is NEVER used! My strategies so far are as follows :

DIET I have eliminated all dairy (thus reducing fat as well as whatever is

injected or fed to the cattle, not to mention the puss milk products are reputed

to contain.)

I have drastically reduced salt. ( I eat sea vegetables and now love

chard or celery for the salty hit)

I have greatly reduced oils in my diet. I do get oil from

vegetables, seeds and nuts , but rarely add oil otherwise.

I have largely reduced sugar, but do eat some fruit- apples and pears

which I believe are very alkaline, and pineapple because it contains the enzyme

brommelaine.

Life has to be enjoyed. Perhaps I'll give them up later, but I'm

not ready yet.

I have cut out processed foods, largely because they contain all of

the above.

I have cut out meat, and have now started reducing fish.

I take supplements and lots ! of vitamin C

No caffeine..

Lots of raw food.

fermented sauerkraut for the enzymes.

fresh juices and green drinks.

RELLAXATION, MEDITATION, VISUALISATION. Did you know deep breathing makes your

body more aalkaline? I do all these to support my immune system which

needs all the support it can get now that I've learnt what

chemotherapy does to it !

SUPPORT GROUP MEMBER AND NOW LOOKING TO THE INTERNET FOR INFORMATION AND A SENSE

OF COMMUNITY- (you know- moral

support and encouragement. Not everyone is able or wants to change

their ways. It can be lonely . My breast cancer nurse still offers coffee and

biscuits at support

group meetings. And I can tell amazing stories of what they still do

and think. One pushes you to spoil yourself with cream cakes. My research to

date suggests that

this is a very unwise route!

EXCERSIZE AND FRESH AIR AND SUNSHINE ( in theory anyway , though we did have

some sun last week and as we were on holiday we got a walk in every day

in the Sun !!! I'm also doing a gardening class so that I can start

my own vegetable plot next month - fresh air and sunshine and fresh 'living'

food ! ( I have cabbage,

kale. lettuce and peas in pots now so I do have a very few fresh,

fresh leaves at present. )

LAUGHTER !! I have movies that I watch and I'm reading funny books, and just

this last week I've found out about blogs and have found some funny sites.

Anything

amusing and lighthearted attracts me. I used to like thrillers and

murder mysteries, but I can't take them anymore. I believe they suppress the

immune system and so I

avoid them and go into a different room when they're on t.v.

There's probably more I do, but I can't remember at present (chemo- brain or

lack of oestrogen, the cause iis irrelevant.) I've incorporated these changes

over time so sometimes I forget what changes I've made. I eliminated dairy in

September 06 before diagnosis, having reduced it prior to that - though knowing

what I know now I was only playing at it. The other changes followed in April 07

after chemotherapy when I had the energy and courage to do a bit of research

though my diet was already changed by chemo- I lost my appetite and- more

relevant- didn't have the energy to make myself anything to eat and relied on my

husband to prepare very simple meals- baked potato and salad! You sound to have

saved yourself the nightmare of chemotherapy. I don't regret the surgery and

chemotherapy which left me very poorly; they reduced the tumour load and I see

it as like a wolf biting off its paw to escape a trap. I am going to do

everything in my power to

escape this particular trap !!

I wish you lots of luck in overcoming this challenge and would be very

interested to hear what you are doing, what you've learnt and how you get on. My

own journey is evolving all the time . I admire your courage , foresiight and

strength in foregoing conventional treatment . I know only too well how

difficult it is to fight against the current and the experience and accepted

wisdom of the medical professiion .

I read Hulda Clarke's book called The Cure for all Cancers and she really

advocates doing the parasite cleanse as described in the post I sent awhile

back- I can repost it it you're interested.

I am glad to hear you are doing better and wish the best to both of you!

Dianne

PS I also read something about ground flax seed halting tumours- if you do this

be sure to grind your own organic seeds and store it inthe freezer-grind only

enough for 1 week at a time. Flax seed helps escort excess estrogen out of the

body.

Go to the Flaxoil2 website I believe it is

http://health.FlaxSeedOil2

Go to the " Files " section to the left of the page. In there you will

find stories of people that have used flaxoil/cottage cheese. One

person's story is one by Nan Parson. She beat breast cancer and her

husband Bill beat pancreatic cancer. I know Nan's cousin personally

and she emailed me Nan's progress of fighting and winning the breast

cancer. Amazing! She won mainly by juicing, supplements, vitamins,

fo/cc. She had no surgery, chemo or radiation.
