Guest guest
When I first heard about the foot detox I was very suspicious about the whole thing. After a friend tried it and let me use it, I am sort of a believer now that they things do work. I am going to give it a better trial, and ordered myself a lot more pads, and really see. My wife swears by it after she had tried it, but I need to try it a little more. We are also thinking about getting the foot detox spa. I've personally seen some positive results from this after someone I know tried it. Jack Veronica A. <aikersonv Wednesday, February 6, 2008 12:48:00 AM Foot detox? Guest guest
, Jack Nichols I've tried them a few years ago and nothing. I also know a few others that tried them and stll nothing. After seeing a recent commercial for those I still don't believe they would work. They tell you that they will get rid of cellulite. How is that possible through a foot pad? Everyone knows that's a type of skin that can't just go away. There's a few other things the ad claims that those things will get rid of and I don't see how it's possible. And the biggest reason...just add water to the pad and it will turn brown. At least the ones I had did. <dolliwog60 wrote: > > When I first heard about the foot detox I was very suspicious about the whole thing. In Health, Veronica Hi Veronica Those foot detox do some work but if you want to do the same thing without the expenxiveness. Try this and yes it works just as wonderfully put a warm water make sure its clean water myself I use distilled water to do this. the water goes into a crystal bowl with a tiny bit of sea salt ( make sure its sea salt the other won't work). If you want the pad just use some cotton enough to cover the inside of the bowl. Yes it will help catch what is coming out of the foot. An by the way its not a bad idea to do reflexology or a pedicure after this. Your clients will love you for it an start the new day with health an feeling alot better. Guest guest
If you leave the pad uncovered for a while, it'll probably turn brown even if you don't add water to it. The promotion says flat out that the plant material oxidizes once you uncover it. - Meg
Guest guest
Hi I bought 100 pads off Ebay. We have only tried them once but both me and my wife had black icky stuff come out when we removed the pads in the morning. So they are doing something. We haven't used them since but I'm going to set them out where we'll remember them (we are old!) and use them nightly. We'll report of any significant results. Guest guest
How long does one need to soak their feet, and does this work like the foot detox machines? Guest guest
Foot detoxing is a great idea, however crystal bowls are often " LEAD " crystal, and that would be disasterous!! Try stainless steel instead as you never know with glass or glass/pottery bowls what is in the glaze. Pure glass would be fine as well. Guest guest
NAncy, Are you suggesting that lead comes out of lead crystal and contaminates the contents of the item? If so; how does the lead get out of the glass? stephen --------- On Feb 17, 2008, at 11:12 AM, Nancey Savinelli wrote: Foot detoxing is a great idea, however crystal bowls are often " LEAD " crystal, and that would be disasterous!! Guest guest
It is not like using one of the foot baths that are sold for about $2000, some of which are useless, others I hear are great, especially the one promoted by Dr. Klinghardt. As far as how long to leave your feet in a regular bowl, as is being discussed here, well I would recommend 15 minutes, which is about the same amount of time one should soak in bathtub providing the water is healthy. Rinse your feet after with warm water so as not to retox your feet. Soaking the feet also feels good. Some of the night detox foot pads are great for detoxing as well. I would recommend the ones on Dr. Hulda Clark's site. Nancey
Guest guest
Stephen, Yes, glass and pottery bowls leach what is painted on them and in them. It also depends what you are putting in the water. Just plain water over time will leach from the vessel it is in. If you are putting something in the water to leach toxins from your body that is just what it is doing to the vessel you are using. Many people own fine crystal glass and drink wine from them. Crystal is typically lead crystal, so in essence you are having some lead with your wine. Same with aluminum pans. Cook with them and aluminum is leached into whatever you are cooking. The more acidic the ingredients, ie.. tomato sauce the worse it gets. Personally I would not use lead crystal for anything. Not sure whether all crystal has lead in it, but I think most do. Best to ask. Most of your fine crystal glassware sold in the popular stores is lead crystal, so be aware. Take care, Nancey

Guest guest
Hi, You asked if you could use a foot tub like you masage your feet in. Well, with so much information on the web about not drinking out of plastic bottles - they all have a rating - I would check to see what the stamped number it has on it. They are the numbers that are in the diamond shaped stamp on the bottom on bottles and plastic containers. There are ratings for plastics on the web. There are a few numbers that do not leach chemicals and toxins. Sorry I can't remember the numbering system. I know that number 1 is not good. As far as the question about lead crystal and how it contaminates the contents, well there are many studies on the web and in books that say not to drink out of lead crystal as it leaches or cook in aluminum pans as they leach as well. Lead poisoning is something that children get. Aluminum is indicated in Parkinson's Disease. Just like Mercury leaching from your fillings in your mouth. We live in a toxic environment so just be aware. The more acidic the contents the more they leach. Remember everything is energy and nothing is really solid, so take care with your health. There is much written about it by Dr. Hulda Clark in her many books, Richard Gerber, MD in Vibrational Medicine, Robert O. Becker, MD in The Body Electric, just to mention a few. Best to use regular glass, enamel pans are good and stainless steel and some of the plastics with the right number stamped on the bottom.
