Guest guest
I would encourage being more discerning when reading headlines designed to sell newspapers. The article itself states " It is well established that oestrogen is associated with breast cancer risk. " (yah, sure just as cholesterol is 'well established' as the culprit of you name it)(note the word 'associated' means absolutely nothing) " Therefore, if grapefruit intake affects oestrogen metabolism leading to higher circulating levels, then it is biologically plausible that regular intake of grapefruit would increase a woman's risk of breast cancer. " this is just a silly thought, admitted by researchers and other experts who admit and said more research was still needed. (in otherwords, they really don't understand the big picture) - Pottymoon! That is fabulous, until I got to the part about the grapefruit for breast health! It has recently been discovered that eating grapefruit actually increases a woman's changce of breast cancer. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6900482.stm Sorry, but I couldn't bear the thought of women on the group rushing out to buy them!! Guest guest
Up to you, girls! With so many other risks, I know I will err on the side of caution while they do their research! There are plenty other ways to get your phytonutrients and antioxidants!!
