Guest guest
I have been perusing the messages over the last little bit. You have some good ideas. I am sure I am not the first person on this list who has come to the list seeking help with weight loss. Anyone want to share some successes? What about using virgin coconut oil...? I am almost 50 years old. (a little over a year away). I have set a personal goal of hiking a 17 mile round trip hike in the mountains during the weekend of my 50th birthday. I am currently 80 lbs overweight (but was 100 lbs overweight when I started this adventure). I would like to drop at least another 40-50 lbs before my hike. But I am not going to " worry " about my weight because in the past that has been counterproductive. I am not going to give up this time, so I am making weight-loss a secondary goal and hiking a primary one. I am currently walking 3 - 4 miles/day at least 4 times/week. I want to work up to walking further, but I need to get my body in shape first. Secondary health issues? I have high blood pressure. I also have a problem with my foot...it hurts fairly constantly, but I ignore the pain and walk on I think when I lose enough weight it will quit hurting. I saw an MD about the foot and he told me it was Plantar Fasciitis and gave me pain pills for it. I don't see this as productive because it isn't doing anything to treat the foot, it is just dulling the pain. I don't take the pills. I am starting a 48 hour cleanse today. It is called Green and Clean. Any other suggestions? Beth
Guest guest
Being in the supplement/herbal medicine business, this is the number one question I get asked. The answer I give is check out pyruvate. It stimulates the mitocondria, the energy factories of our cells, to burn fat. Normally it is taken about 1/2 an hour before a workout, but some people claim taking some every morning for a few months coupled with a regular exercise program and reduced calorie intake they notice results. , " Beth Wallek " <bethwallek wrote: > > I have been perusing the messages over the last little bit. Guest guest
Beth, You don't need to walk more than five miles, but you should be focussing on getting through five miles in one hour. And without jogging or running. Something that will help is to avoid eating any thing which contains over 10% of it calories in fat. And I mean: do the math yourself. Don't read where it says fat content on the label. That is crap. Total Calories Calories From Fat The second one should not be more than ten percent of the first one. In other words: Total Calories: 90. Calories From Fat - must be nine or less to be acceptable. stephen ----------- Beth Wallek wrote: I have been perusing the messages over the last little bit.
