synthetic hormone rBGH in our dairy products

I am so angry about the laws that are not wanting people to know if

they are getting dairy products from cows that have been treated with

the synthetic hormone rBGH. I know it is a natural hormone in cows,

just as estrogen is a natural hormone in women. I just don't want any

extra added synthetic hormones. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a site

that might list some products that are using hormone free dairy

products? I drive a lot of miles to get organic dairy products and it

would be nice to know if there are companies making healthy products

and not being able to list the fact that they don't use this drug?

If anyone knows some packaged products that do not use this drug would

you print them on this site? I've been emailing a lot of companies to

ask if they use dairy from cows treated with this drug and the majority

do.

you are buying raw cow milk is that correct if so iam sorry to say this

but unless you own the cow that the milk is coming from is the only way

to know for certain if not its going to be verry difficult to find out

but not impossible if the people are honest with you about if the milk

does or dosent have the hormones then you may know the truth good

luck >

No, I'm not buying raw milk. I get mine at a large grocery store and

it comes in glass bottles and is labeled organic and also no added

synthetic hormones. I have to pay for the glass bottle but return it

when I buy my next bottles and so after the initial cost of the

bottles they are free. It's delicious milk but I have to drive sixty

miles to get it. I hope that in our so called free country they will

be able to continue to carry it. It is worth the drive.

I've been researching this rBGH drug and it sounds like a lot of

people are wanting rid of it, even the farmers because it is causing

problems with their cows. All the other industrialized countries have

already banned it. Monsanto is losing money like crazy but fighting

to keep the United states in the dark.

Fortunately Health Canada has banned the use of rBGH in our dairies as

well as a few other countries. Here is some more info on the subject.

Perhaps you could persuade your gov't representatives to change the law

in the U.S.

This statement in the article is not correct. There are many many non

GMO products in the US and are labeled as such. There are also several

brands of milk on the market that are free of rBGH and are marketed as

such.

Marina,

Can you list a few of the many non GMO products in the US that are

labeled as such, and also what brands of milk on the market are free

of rBGH and are marketed as such?

I found out that ReddiWip is hormone free and so we are getting to

enjoy whipped cream more now that I don't have to make it from the

hormone free cream that I buy. Guess I am lazy but it would be so

nice to be able to buy some healthy foods that do now require a lot

of work. I am able to buy some delicious real butter that is organic

from the store where I get my milk. If only I didn't have to drive so

far to get it.

I am a twenty one year breast cancer survivor and my doctor (my dad)

told me way back then to avoid anything estrogen. I research

constantly trying to avoid estrogen and it's procurers. I know that

there is a big increase in the hormone related cancers in younger

people since they have started using this drug and Monsanto knows it

too, but since the rest of the world is banning it they are losing

billions of dollars, and dollars are their bottom line. I really wish

there was a way to convince our government to protest us more from

the big pharmaceutical companies.

I would love to be able to live in Canada.

I have found out that Miss Swiss products are free of the rBGH drug,

and so is Ben and Jerry ice cream. I'm hoping to find more and more

things that I can buy and enjoy eating.
