Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to this group! I'm sarah on Kauai and mother to a 7 yr old. I love essential oil of Eucalyptus, inhaled in steam. Also, rubbed onto the chest with castor oil and covered with heating pad, before retiring and sometimes again in a.m. DD's cough clears up very quickly with this treatment, while many classmate's coughs drag on for weeks. Also, ginger tea may thin the mucus. , " dbrhseny " <dbrhseny wrote: > > Does anyone have any ideas about what I could use to clear my lungs? > Have been very congested for days. >
Guest guest
Try sage tea or chop onion into slices. Put them in a jar and cover with honey. Wait a few hours and take a teaspoon every hour or so until lungs okay. Also ginger tea. Guest guest
When I get congested, I start with my cod liver oil, butter factors, and garlic remedies to fight the inflammation. If I have it, I start the SuperTonic tincture, Enchinachea tincture and Elderberry tinctures, which seem to help if the congestion is partly due to viral infections. Bromalin tabs and Mullien Tea from leaves helps with the mucos. I start Vit C with bioflavanoids to bowel tolerance every 2 hours. If the sinuses are involved, out comes the Neti Pot and nasal lavage with tiny bit of sea salt and one drop of grapeseed extract or tea tree extract. And I start taking lots of cayenne, in my food, in caps and via tinctures for good circulation. I eat less, cutting out red meat and most dairy (but I do my kefir and Kombucha tea) but more often, drinking lots of good water and green teas and herbals mostly and meditate and rest more. Usually clears up in 3 days! Norma

Guest guest
Hi, When I used to work as a respiratory therapist, I always asked congested patients to drink lots of water for a day or two (excepting those on restricted fluid intake). Often, I would walk in the next morning to the sound of a great, loose, productive cough. It sounds overly simplistic, but usually works. ´Hope this helps, Elizabeth , " dbrhseny " <dbrhseny wrote: > > Does anyone have any ideas about what I could use to clear my lungs? > Have been very congested for days. >

Guest guest
Do you have any Colts Foot? That clears lungs make a tea from the leaves. If no Colts Foot Thyme and Honey is easy to get, try this. Honey Thyme for Colds and Flu INGREDIENTS 1 cup honey 1/2 cup fresh thyme or 1/4 cup dried thyme In a small saucepan, combine the two ingredients and heat gently over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, being sure not to let the honey boil or scorch. Remove from heat and allow the honey to cool. Strain out the herbs, then put into a bottle. To relieve colds, coughs, and sore throats, take 1 teaspoon of this thyme-infused honey three times a day. You could also add a teaspoon of it to a cup of regular hot tea and sip slowly.
Guest guest
Yes. I and others have observed this anecdotally for years: with folks who have pneumonia those who drink lots of water recover, and those who do not die.
