Guest guest
For the last few years my feet tingle. Even when I am off them. most of the day. I know this is caused by nerve endings that have been harmed. With me I think do to being over weight. Anything I can do to reduce or end this pain. Am a male, hispanic and 62 years old. I have found that alpha-lipoic-acid when taken with biotin in I think it's a 3:1 ratio, is effective in lessening the tingling in my feet. mj
Guest guest
Hi Fred! There are many things that cause the feet to tingle; anything from poor circulation problems . . like overweight, pre-diabetic and diabetic, sensitivity to heat/cold/pressure, to various kinds of nerve damage. Many things can treat these symptoms, but it's always best to try to find the underlying cause or factor and tackle that one. I too have these problems and these things have helped the most: good balanced nutrition for an older person, overweight, pre-diabetic but without bloodpressure or heart complications. Lots of cayenne pepper, I take the the capsules and also carry the extract. Lots of good digestive enzymes, this gets the nutrition and supplements down to the capillary level where the nerves and cells are truly fed. Hot/cold water baths for the feet and the walking in water (in bathtub with about 3-4 inches of water) exercise. Gentle daily massage, and very good well-fitted shoes at all times. I also elevate the end of my bed by about 4 inches, this increases good blood flow at night. Pepper cream on feet before bed (remember to wash hands good, or you may rub your eyes!). Stay well hydrated. Try to remember not to cross the legs or put undo pressure on the lower circulation system. Usually, the rather constant tingling of feet indicates some loss of feeling in the feet, so one must learn to take much better care of the toenails, wearing protective footgear, because you can bruise or cut or blister them now and not even feel it, and they do not heal as well or fast under these conditions, so care must be taken to look them over closely often. Do a google for supplementals addressing the circulation problems, like the B Vitamin, the full range of E's, etc. The internet is a wonderful place to began the learning process of taking greater responsibility for your own health and well-being in all situations and ages and conditions! Good Luck and God Bless! Norma
Guest guest
What you speak of is one of the symptoms of diabetes. It may be wise to have a 3 or 5 hours glucose tolerance test with insulin levels done. , " fred " <bronzemouse8 wrote: > > For the last few years my feet tingle. Guest guest
I am a diabetic who ignored tingling feet until I got a non-healing hole in one foot. Besides ALA and Biotin mentioned below, I got rid of most foot numbness and tingling with Cinnamon powder (tsp a day), MSM (2 grams, 3 times a day). Going on a very low carb diet also helped me a lot. I avoid all grains, breads, pasta, rice, starchy veggies, etc. I can control blood sugar with diet and supplements and no longer need diabetic meds.
