Guest guest
Hello, I am brand new to this group. I would like to hear from anyone who has had RA and cured it through diet/juicing/supplements ect. My husband was recently diagnosed as having RA, but it didn't show up in his blood test. Also, has anyone ever developed RA from being exposed to mice/droppings ect? I really believe he has a bacterial infection from it and that is what triggered the RA. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance, Pam
Guest guest
My Mother has this & she is in constant pain in her neck. She has gone to pain specialists, her family doctor, & she has tried pain meds for it. Guest guest
Pam, More than twenty five years ago my hands hurt so I went to my doctor. He said that I had Rheumatoid Arthritis and that he would prescribe a pain killer. I said: Yo doc! Forget that - you need to fix this thing! I need my hands. Sorry; nothing we can do - just manage the pain. So, like any sick person I complained to everyone I met. <g> And I'm telling you; I couldn't hold a piece of paper with dropping it because of the pain. My knuckles started to widen and split - they wouldn't bend - it was bad. Then I ran into a woman who owned a health food store. She listened to my complaints and looked at my hands: Looks like degenerative arthritis - maybe you should take some cod liver oil. Give me some! She gave me something called: Scott's Emulsion, which is cod liver oil in orange juice. I took two bottles but I disliked the spoon thing and went back for capsules. I took two morning and night for about two weeks, then three for a few weeks, then four. And after a while - it maybe have been three months, it may have been six months, I noticed: my hands didn't hurt anymore. They still don't and I promise you - I could make you winch with my grip in either hand. My knuckles don't look great but they work fine. I still take them every day. And I know it's the cod liver oil because I have gone on vacation and forgotten to pack it. And before a week is out my hands are getting stiff again. Maybe I am the exception - but cod liver oil absolutely worked for me. stephen ---------- Rheumatoid Hello, I am brand new to this group. Guest guest
I was never diagnosed with RA. I avoid doctors as much as humanly possible I used to wince in pain when putting on a kitchen mitt, putting on a pair of gloves, attempting to lace my shoes or button my shirt. Over the years, the pain got worse. When I began searching out herbs to help me control blood sugar, I discovered that my athritis pain began to retreat. MSM has helped me a lot. So has Cinnamon, Boswellia, and Turmeric. I take a lot of supplements for many different reasons. So I am not sure exactly which one have the greatest impact on arthritis. But I csn say that my hands no longer hurt when I put on tight gloves. My neck has a much greater range of motion. And my neck no longer makes grating popping sounds when I turn it.
