Guest guest
off the top, i'd suggest you're not taking enough vitamin c (k)....try 2grams or more a day, spaced out not more than 4hrs apart - Kathleen Rose Dery Tuesday, November 27, 2007 9:38 PM Bloody nose getting worse
Guest guest
You also may want to tell your doc about those, and about the low white count. (Among the side effects of some of those kind of meds is agranulocitosis. I remember when folks taking clozaril had to have a white count prior to recieving the next weeks supply. On the other hand dont just stop taking them either, as really bad physical things can happen as well. I recall one gentleman in a facility who quit taking one of the newer antipsychotics, and had a heart attack.) - Kathleen Rose Dery Tuesday, November 27, 2007 8:38 PM Bloody nose getting worse Moderator's Note: I would research homepathic phosphorus. -------------- Hi, I have bloody noses, and they are getting worse. I read in a prevention magazine that excessive sugar could cause nosebleeds. Well he reduced (greatly reduced) his sugar intake (cokes, soft drinks, adding sugar to his ice tea, etc) and after just a few days the nosebleeds were pretty much history for him. But when he took in a lot of sugar in a week or so,they recurred. So he doesn't and they are gone. hope this is helpful for you too ...Be Well, Doreen
Guest guest
- - - Kathleen, I had some serious nosebleeds a couple of years ago, they were so bad I thought I was bound for the bone yard! Someone suggested I had " too much blood " so I just let it run into a bowl until it stopped (Don't try this at home!) I was under a load of stress at the time so I would put my episode down to that - the last bleed I had was when power walking real hard (a kind of stress) so I'd get your blood pressure checked out, also your meds may be contributing in some way so see your Doc on that score. I found nasel plugs from the pharmacy would stop a nosebleed instantly and they are within hands reach even today! Lastly, if you sign in to the groups website, click on messages and enter nosebleed into the search facility you will find some more info there. Good luck! - Ray. Guest guest
A friend of mine who was in her 80's started getting bad nosebleeds. We read that they could be helped by moisture in the air. She began keeping a pan of water under her bed and another pan of water on her bedside table. She stopped having the nosebleeds. Later, she stopped using the pans of water and they returned. She began using the water again and they went away.
Guest guest
I got bad nose bleeds in elementary and high school. Once I started a regular yoga practice, they went away. If I neglect yoga for too long, they start to come back. I agree with using water, either in a pan or in a humidifier. That can help especially with the colder weather and the heat running indoors.
