Guest guest
MSG and Hypothyroidism _http://www.msgtruth.org/hypothyr.htm_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/hypothyr.htm) Many MSG sufferers have been diagnosed with thyroid conditions. The most prevalent being hypothyroidism. Many are taking the prescription drug Synthroid. What does this have to do with MSG? MSG can damage the hypothalamus as proven by Olney in experiments so groundbreaking that American food companies took MSG out of baby food after the results of Olney's study were released to the public. What does this have to do with the thyroid? The hypothalamus is the part of the brain that monitors the body. It is the body's " sensor " . Hormones and temperatures are measured and based on this info, the hypothalamus sends out signals to the " master gland " the pituitary located just underneath it, and behind the eyes. The pituitary gland then sends out chemical signals that direct the entire endocrine system. This includes the thyroid, as well as all the other endocrine glands in the body. Damage to the hypothalamus affects the entire body. Why is this important? The thyroid gland is necessary for life. It directs the body's metabolism. Could the overuse of MSG have caused the hypothyroid condition of unsuspecting people? Is that what makes many of those hypothyroid patients, also MSG sensitive? _MSG and ADD_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/adhd.htm) _MSG and Addiction_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/addiction.htm) _MSG and Alcoholism_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/alcohol.htm) _MSG and Allergy_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/allergy.htm) _MSG and A.L.S._ (http://www.msgtruth.org/als.htm) _MSG and Alzheimer's_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/alzheim.htm) _MSG and Asthma_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/asthma.htm) _MSG and Atrial Fibrillation_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/atrial.htm) _MSG and Autism_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/autism.htm) _MSG and Blindness_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/msgand1.htm) _MSG and Celiac Sprue_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/msgand2.htm) _MSG and Depression_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/depress.htm) _MSG and Diabetes_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/diabetes.htm) _MSG and Dizziness_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/dizzy.htm) _MSG and Epilepsy_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/epilepsy.htm) _MSG and Fibromyalgia_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/fibromya.htm) _MSG and Heat Stroke_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/heat.htm) _MSG and High Blood Pressure_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/blood.htm) _MSG and Hypoglycemia_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/hypoglyc.htm) <NO and Hypothyroidism _MSG and IBS_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/ibs.htm) _MSG and Inflammation_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/inflamma.htm) _MSG and Migraine_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/migraine.htm) _MSG and MS_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/multscle.htm) _MSG and Myopia_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/eyesight.htm) _MSG and Obesity_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/obesity.htm) _MSG and Pituitary Tumors_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/pituitar.htm) _MSG and Rage/Panic Disorder_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/panic.htm) _MSG and Rosacea_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/rosacea.htm) _MSG and Sulfite Sensitivity_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/sulfite.htm) _MSG and Tinnitus_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/tinnitus.htm) _MSG and Sleeplessness_ (http://www.msgtruth.org/msgand.htm)
